Male Reader x Male Monster

I've always been a bit bigger than other kids. That's just how my family is built. My dad is the biggest guy you'll ever meet, and my mom is taller than most guys in the area. I was always picked on because of how I looked, I was made fun of for my weight, for the fact I looked older than everyone in my grade. For the longest time, I was ostracized, relegated to eating lunch alone and sitting in the farthest corner of the playground.

Then I met Mickey. He had wild, massively tangled hair and was chubby. He started to come and sit with me at lunch, and we played together on the playground. Mickey became my closest friend, my first friend.

Mickey's dad was a lifeguard, so every weekend I spent with Mickey, we were on the beach. Mickey's dad taught me to surf and, it was because of that, I started to gain confidence in myself. I loved it, I loved everything about the ocean. I started training with Mickey and his dad to become a lifeguard. I also had grand machinations to become a Marine Biologist once I went to college.

But sometimes, life happens and changes your plans. My dad got really sick, so I stayed home to help my mom and my younger siblings. Mickey helped me out a lot too. It was also during this time that Mickey helped me with the most challenging thing I think I've ever had to come to grips with.

"Mickey, I'm gay," I told him bluntly. We were sitting on the beach that evening. My dad had just had a successful surgery and I wanted to blow off steam. Mickey took me to the beach and we had a few drinks while we enjoyed the ocean. A few beers in and I couldn't hold it back anymore.

Mickey gave me a blank stare for a few seconds before he moved in closer and put his arm around me. I broke down crying and Mickey just held me. It felt like such a massive weight off my shoulders. Especially since Mickey was there for me.

"How long have you been holding on to it?" Mickey asked me.

I sighed and shook my head. "I don't know. It never really clicked for me until recently." I wiped my eyes and smiled at him. "Thanks, man."

"You know I love you," Mickey chuckled. "I just want you happy. I'll do whatever you need of me."

Mickey meant so much to me, I knew my feelings couldn't go any further for him. He meant too much to me, so I knew I had to keep those things buried. I think Mickey suspected, but he was always there when I needed him most.

After Mickey's dad died, he spent a lot of time with my family and me. My dad was on the mend, and I think Mickey needed that sort of fatherly figure around. He stopped working as a lifeguard, stopped surfing. It was Mickey who helped me discover my love for the ocean and surfing, I wanted to help him get back out there.

Then, something strange started happening. Mickey seemed a little odd as of late, but he was getting into the water again and he had even returned to his job as a lifeguard. He seemed happy, weirdly happy. He snuck off a lot too, going out for a swim and then disappearing from sight, only to return later looking flushed, dazed, and dreamy.

"I want you to meet someone," Mickey says.

"Someone?" I arch a brow at him.

"I've not wanted to hide her for so long." Mickey rubs the back of his neck and laughs. "But she's kind of jealous of you."

I scoff and slap my hand to my chest. "Of me? She's jealous of me?"

"She knows we're close," Mickey chuckles. "She also says you're a powerful threat from the looks of you."

I roll my eyes. "Ok then, who is this chick?" I ask. "I haven't seen any girls mooning over you a lot. You did sneak off a lot. What's wrong? Is she weird or something?"
