Bella's P.O.V.
When my alarm goes off, I swear I've only had about fifteen minutes of sleep. Lucien sure knows how to entertain a girl all night. I turn the alarm on my phone off and snuggle against the warm body behind me. When did this get to feel so normal? Lucien shifts in his sleep, pulling me tighter against him. I'm sorry to have to wake him, but I have to get to school. One more test and then graduation on Thursday night, I cannot wait. I move away from him slowly, trying not to disturb him, but of course the second my back looses contact with his chest, he awakens. "Good morning Princess," he says, his voice gravelly with sleep. I turn over in his arms and trace the side of his face. I will never get tired of looking at this man...his piercing blue eyes watch me closely, his square jaw and cleft chin are dusted with stubble, enough to give him heart throb status amongst the world's swooning girls. But I love the mind underneath all his gorgeousness. He's kind and thoughtful, extremely intelligent without being condescending. He's structured without being rigid, loving without being suffocating, and he is my everything. "I love you, Lucien," I tell him softly, kissing the smile that's forming on his lips. "I'm going to have to come up with a nick-name for you, something only I get to call you."
"I like 'babe' for you, it seems appropriate," he tells me, pulling me with him when he turns to lie on his back so my arms are on either side of his chest and my body is pressed intimately against his.
"Watch it or my nickname for you will be 'old man'."
He laughs, pulling me down for a sultry kiss. "I love you too Bella," he murmurs, putting his hands in my hair while he reverently kisses my face. "I'll call you babe, or baby, because you're such a complete knock out, and you're so young." He continues his gentle exploration of my face and neck until our trance is interrupted by the screeching of my alarm. I guess I hit snooze again instead of off, but it's probably a good thing. I moan in frustration, disengage from Lucien's embrace, and sit up on the bed. "I have to get to school, my last test is in forty minutes," I tell him, getting off the bed and heading toward the bathroom.
When I emerge, Lucien is not in my room. I can hear voices downstairs, so I get dressed and grab my backpack. I'm a little nervous about what my Dad might say knowing Lucien slept in my room last night. I find everyone in the kitchen, companionably working side by side. I guess I didn't have anything to worry about. My Dad is dressed in work clothes, but my brother looks like he slept in what he was wearing yesterday. "What happened to you?" I ask him.
"One too many bad choices last night," he says, holding his head in his hands. "Bella, I need you to cover for me today, I feel like shit."
"Of course, but I have a math final this morning."
"I'll cover for you while Bella is in school," Lucien says, gathering the buckets of feed for the pigs he watched my Dad prepare. I see my Dad smile and pat Lucien on the back. My fear he heard us last night dissipates because he's touching Lucien with affection and not irritation. I think about that for a second. My father has to know we are having sex, but he doesn't seem to care. I know I'm an adult, but I'm also his little girl. Lucien must really have won him over.
"Thanks old man," I say, kissing his smile softly. "I've got to go. See you in a few hours!"
"Good luck!" I hear my father call out to me, and then I hear Lucien tell him, "She doesn't need luck. She's got this." Hell yeah I do.
Two hours later I'm heading home. The final was easy, for me at least. A bunch of my classmates were complaining about how hard it was. I guess I'm lucky that math comes so naturally to me. My friends and I hang out for a while, discussing plans for the summer and an after graduation party. I remind them of the soirée my father has planned in two weeks, and they all nod, promising to be there. Trish pulls me aside and asks how I'm feeling, if I feel any different.
