"SHE'S YOUR BEST friend."
"She's your best friend too. Matter of fact, she's your girlfriend." I look pointedly at my brother.
Noah breathes out a deep sigh. "I'm the boyfriend she doesn't even want to see. Don't you think I've tried?"
"I found her passed out in her backyard man. At eight in the morning, Noah." It's my turn to sigh.
"That explains the shades." Noah looks around the cafeteria and I almost laugh in hysteria.
"She's not going to show up for lunch Noah." She hasn't in weeks.
"I just...miss her."
"Me too."
I'm playing with the pringles bottle, mind far away when Noah brings a hand to my face. It's only then that I realise that I'm crying.
"She's going to be okay."
"Do you really believe that?" Is the last thing I say before I walk out of the cafeteria, and out of the school.
