I picked Bucky up and grabbed my keys and wallet to head out. I take us down to my motor cycle and start it up. I get on and Bucky get's on behind me. Before I start driving, I look up 24/7 elopement locations. I found one an hour away.
I feel Bucky' s arms wrap around me.
"Let's go get married Captain" he whispers in my ear. I grin hearing him calling me captain.
"Mmm you've never had a better idea Sergeant" I say back and hear him groan.
I start driving towards our location and find the Wedding Chapel. I grabbed Bucky's hand and we ran inside to the older lady sitting at a desk.
"Uh hi! We'd like to get married right now. Well obviously." I ramble on making Bucky chuckle next to me.
"Alright, that'll be 35$ and you can just wait over there till the reverend comes out." She said.
I pulled out the cash and handed it to her. Not much longer the gentleman came out and had us follow him in.
We then beginning are intimate small ceremony. It was now time for the vows.
"James Buchanan. Where do I even start. You have been my entire life since I was 8 years old and you saved me from getting beat up. You were there for me when ma got sick and even when I was sick. You stayed by my side when there were times we were afraid it was my death bed but I kept pushing through to be with you. Then sadly I lost you and I will never forgive myself for what happened to you. I wish I could go back and save you. However, starting today and the rest of our lives, I promise I will protect you, cherish you, comfort you, but most of all I promise to unconditionally love you. I promise to be a supportive husband, to be understanding, to be your shoulder to cry on, and to wake up every day, and go to bed every night choosing you. You are my best friend, my lover, my soulmate and my Bucky, and from today till forever, I will be with you till the end of the line." I finish saying with a few tears rolling down my cheek.
Bucky is smiling big and has a few tears in his eyes as well.
"Oh Steven Grant. You little punk, if it wasn't for that bully all those years ago, who knows where we would have ended up. I worried about you so much because you always went around picking fights that you couldn't win at the time but that big heart inside that little body thought other wise. In reality I don't deserve someone like you. But Im more than lucky enough to have you and I will never take that for granted. I promise to be the husband that you deserve and love you no matter what happens to us. I promise to come to you when I'm struggling and be there for you when you struggle. In some weird twisted fucked up way, fate gave us a second chance to have the love and life we deserve. Today we start our lives as one and I couldn't be happier. This all may seem rash and rushed but damn I wanted to marry you since I was 18. And here I may finally doing it. Stevie I love you and I will forever chose you. You are my heart, my soul, my lifeline. Today is starting our forever, because I am with you till the end of line." Bucky finishes.
I'm a bawling mess at this point.
"Alright, now for the rings" the reverend said.
Bucky panics "wait we don't have rings" he says.
I smile at him and pull something out of my pocket.
"When I went on that mission I found some things of yours. I figured until we go more public and get rings, we could wear each other's dog tags as a our rings. That way I have you close to my heart everywhere I go" I tell him.
He lets out a small sob.
"That's perfect Stevie."We take our own tags in our hands, and proceed to place them on each other. I have his and he has mine.
"Alright, now, but the power infested in me and the stage of New York, I now pronounce you husband and husband. You may kiss the groom" he says.
I don't even wait and pull Bucky close dipping him back some placing my lips on his sealing our marriage. Finally. My husband.
I pull us back up and we pull apart. We are smiling like teenagers and lace our fingers together and run out the chapel. When we get outside I pull him close to me again and kiss him.
"Mmm my husband" I whisper.
"Say it again" he says.
"My husband. My handsome, sexy, breath taking husband" I say kissing him in between each word.
"I love you Stevie" he says holding me close
"I love you James" I say back.
I then get a idea.
"What do you say to getting a tattoo" I ask.
"Steven Grant Rogers. If only America knew how much of a bad boy you were." He says smirking. "Let do it" he says.
We hope in my motor cycle and I drive around looking for shops that are open. Finally we found one and we go inside.
After 30 minutes each of being on the table, we had matching tattoos on our chests above our hearts. Bucky struggled with his because of his arm but thankfully he didn't have to take his shirt off all the way.
I couldn't stop smiling. I finally got the boy. All these years and I finally got him.
"Alright doll, now what do you have in mind since we just got permanently inked." He asked.
I softly lifted up his shirt to look at his tattoo.
We got our names, the year we started dating, and our famous quote to each other.Rogers-Barnes est. 1933
Till the end of the line"Mmm Mr. Rogers-Barnes, I think it is time I take my husband home, and give him some newly wed lovin'." I say giving him a gentle kiss.
"Take me home Captain" he says back.
And that's exactly what I do.
