I woke up the next day and my back was sore from how I slept. I planned on taking care of a few things. The first being having Wanda tell the team about Peggy and give the locations for the bases so we can start mapping out missions.
The next would be to visit my sister and let her know Peggy is dead and soon so will she. After that, I plan on talking to Stephanie to see if she is a threat to my husband and kids.
After everything Steve told me with Nat I am still suspicious of her.
Once I finally get up outta the chair, I lean down and give Steve's forehead a kiss.
"I will be back soon doll. I love you so much." I whisper giving another kiss before making my way to my room to get ready for the day.
Once I get dressed I head down to grab some breakfast when I see all three kids there.
"Good morning. You kids want some pancakes?" I asked.
"Yes!" They all three said. As I was making breakfast the kids and I talked about anything and everything.
It was moments like this that makes me want to step away from this life style and just be a normal ish family. Or as normal as we can be.
Soon Natasha and who I assume is Stephanie walks in and Gemma stiffens.
"Morning guys." Nat says.
"Morning" I say back firmly standing behind my children protectively.
"Uhh Bucky, this is Stephanie, Steph this is Bucky, Steve's husband" she says softly.
I look over Stephanie's characteristics and I can see Mrs. Rogers in her and Steve. Clearly they are twins.
"How..how is Steve doing?" Stephanie asked.
"Dad is fine" Gemma snaps breaking the silence.
"Gem" I start to say.
"No. Papa, I understand he is your husband but he is my dad and they do not have a right to know about him when both of them worked on destroying him. How do we know they aren't still trying to kill him? Maybe gain our trust so they can get close when he is vulnerable?" Gemma says.
"Gem.." Nat starts to say.
"You can shut the fuck up. You are on a thin line with me already. Does your little girlfriend over here know what you did to me all those years? What you did to my papa? Or tried to do to my dad? I don't care that you say you did it because they were going to kill Stephanie. I would rather fucking die then torture someone. Especially a child." Gemma yells fulling standing up.
I probably should've gotten onto her about her language but I felt a since of pride running into my chest seeing my kids protective over Steve too.
"I agree with Gemma. I can give Stephanie the benefit of the doubt because she was taken as a children and there all her life, but you went back into hydra Nat. You could've told anyone of us what was happen but instead you went back to their ways and caused more hurt than good. You step one foot near my father and I will do to you what I did to Peggy." Wanda says with her eyes flashing red.
"Wait, what happened to Peggy?" Tony says coming into the dining room.
Wanda looks over at me and I nod my head for her to continue.
"Gather everyone in here JARIVS so I don't have to repeat myself." Wanda says.
She walks over to me and I pull her into a hug.
"It's gonna be okay little witch. I am here with you." I say kissing her head.
Soon everyone comes into the kitchen/dining area.
"Okay, so there is something I need to tell you all and I am not sure how you will take it. When Pietro and I went to dad and pops apartment to get dad back, Peggy was there and was able to shot him, so I of course used my magic to redirect the bullet making it go into his shoulder. Anyways, after Pietro left, I was pissed at her for everything she had done to me, Pietro, Gemma, and pops and of course trying to kill dad. So my magic got the best of me and the scarlet witch made an appearance, got into Peggy's mind to find all the hydra locations, and proceeded to torture her till she died." Wanda explains.
"So Queen Hydra is dead?" Steph asks.
"Yes. Her and Sharon are both dead, only leaving Rebecca and the bases left." Wanda says.
"Well I am glad you killed her because if you didn't I was going to." Steph said.
"Just like that she is dead?" Tony asked.
"Yeah. I don't think she banked on any of us showing up to save dad that day because she was literally by herself. When I ran around after coming back from the compound, there was literally no one around" Pietro backs her up.
"Alright, well Wanda, I will get you a map so you can start pinning bases out for us and we can start making missions and missions teams." Tony says. "Also, Barnes, need to speak with you." He says walking off.
I follow him out and go down to the lab where Steve is.
"What's going on?" I asked him and soon Bruce walks in.
"So we were running some vitals and blood tests to make sure everything was going okay with him. When we got the blood results back, it looked different than from any other time. So we pulled him a previous blood sample to the one we have now so check this out" Tony says pulling up a screen.
"This is the one from before. You can see everything is leveled out perfectly and you can see the serum within the DNA. In this other one, do you see how it's kind of broken down some like 20% down than before?" He asks me.
"Yeah I see it. What's the point in all of this?" I asked.
"Whatever Peggy shot him with seems to have broken down the serum a little bit. From what we have found, it's not going to break down anymore but there could be some side affects now that he isn't used to having since getting the serum." Bruce says.
"Like what?" I asked.
"He could start getting sick again. Like colds and stuff like that, with his past, some of those illnesses may pop up again but not as intense as they were before. Thankfully with technology and medicine today he will be okay if he does get sick." Bruce says.
I process all of this trying to wrap my head around it.
"Alright Bruce I need you to get 2 inhalers. One to keep here at the compound at all times, and one to keep with me at all times. Asthma and his heart trouble were some of the worst things he dealt with so if the serum is broken down, that'll probably be something to pops up again. So do some tests to see what kind of inhaler he would need and order them. You all clearly know his medical history before the serum, so we need to have equipment ready for his heart, stomach issues, literally anything. Monitor his heart closely for anything rhythm differences. As for everything else, we will wait and see what happens when and if something comes up." I tell them. "I know I sound bossy, but Steve is the love of my life and seeing him possibly having to deal with these issues again breaks my heart. So please do everything we can to keep his blood pressure down to prevent heart problems and an asthma attack."
They just nod their heads and I walk over and place my forehead against his.
I softly crawled into bed with him and pulled him into my chest holding him as close as possible.
"I love you so much doll and I promise to take care of you" I whisper before dosing off into a nap.
