I run out of my room with the journal in my hand trying to find Tony.
"JARVIS where is he?" I asked.
"In the lab sir" JARVIS says.
I quickly got in the elevator and went to the lab. As soon as the doors opened, I bolted out and down to the lab. I was in such a hurry I fell through his lab door and busted my ass on the floor.
"Whoa Rogers what's going on? You are pale as shit and look really out of it" Tony says.
I can't even speak and hand him the journal. He reads it and his eyes go big.
"Shit. I was not expecting that." He says.
"Tony they have my sister-in-law and my daughter. We need to find them now" I say starting to hyperventilate.
"Okay, okay, we will get started. I need you to breathe for me Steve. I can't have a super soldier passing out in my lab. I will put these coordinates into JARVIS and while you call Sam and Fury." He says. I just nod my head and try and calm myself down.
(Sam-bold, Steve- regular)
"Hello?"
"I need you to get to the compound now. No questions right now. Just get here please." I tell him.
"Give me 10 minutes" he says hanging up.
I then dial for Fury (Fury-bold, Steve-regular)
"Fury"
"Get to the compound. I found something" I say to him.
"Alright, on my way."
"Come to Tony's lab" I say before hanging up.
I start pacing back and forth wrapped up in my head. Rebecca is alive? What has she been through? Is she brainwashed like Bucky? Will she remember me? What about Gemma? Will she even know her DNA is part mine? Who was the woman that carried her? Was she good to her at least? Or did he treat my little princess like an animal?
I am soon brought out of my thoughts with the lab door opening and Fury and Sam walk in.
"What is so urgent to be here?" Sam asked.
I looked over at Tony with tears in my eyes and felt like my throat was closing in. I just shock my head at him.
"I am guess while Steve was moving in, he found a journal from Barnes. While he was reading it he found this entry." Tony headed them the journal to read.
"You gotta be shitting me" Sam says.
"Fury..please tell me, you didn't know they had Rebecca and Gemma?" I asked with my voice cracking.
"No I didn't I just knew it was something valuable. But now it makes so much sense. Tony have you found anything?" Fury asked.
"Yeah. The base is in Canada. At least that is where the coordinates took me. From the little information JARVIS is showing, it doesn't look like there is any activity there." He says.
"When can we go?" I asked.
"Leave in an hour. Take them to the tower Tony. If here is a leak here, we need to make sure those two are on our side and possibly prepare for them to respond like the winter soldier, not Bucky Barnes." Fury say.
"I cannot believe this is happening" I mumble.
"Steve we will figure this out. I guess while I am here, I can tell you some good news" Fury says.
I look up at him waiting for him to continue. What could it be?
"After all the evidence I had, I was able to take it to the before the World Security Council, and they have deemed Barnes not guilty for the crimes they were pressing for. So, Mr. Rogers-Barnes, looks like your hubby is a free man now." Fury says with a smirk.
I burst into tears and cover my mouth to hold my sob in. "How did you even get this to go through so fast?" I asked.
"Well, considering that a lot of the evidence I used was the physical abuse he went through, they could tell the difference between James Barnes and the winter soldier. After they found out Pierce was the one controlling him a lot, that really gave Barnes favor in winning the case and well he did. In about two weeks, the world will know that Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes, was not only a war hero, but spent years captive in the hands of the enemy and came out on the other side helping take Hydra down once and for all. And the cherry on top of it all, Tony has been helping me talk with the military about paying for both yours and Barnes years of survive even when you were frozen. Both of you are war hero's and today's hero's. You both deserve to be treated like it" Fury finishes telling me.
"Wow. I..I don't even know how to thank you for all of this. It means everything that Bucky can come home and not fear for his life from the Government." I say with tears running down my cheeks still.
"No need to thank me. Now, go get ready and bring your daughter and sister-in-law home" Fury says walking out.
I go and grab my suit and get ready. Once I have everything, I go back to where Tony is and see Sam ready as well.
"Alright Cap, sam here are your coms, the jet is ready. When you all leave, I will fly to the tower to connect with you all. It should only take about hour to an hour and a half to get there. Every thing is ready when you are Cap." Tony says.
"Alright, let's go Sam. Let's bring them home." I say walking out of the lab and up to the jet.
"You okay man? A lot has happened really fast." Sam asks.
"I know. I just keep telling myself everything will be fine. I have a small group of support around me so I am doing okay. Plus, doing missions and keeping busy has helped me not sit around and sulk." I say honestly.
"You are really strong Steve. Not as Captain America, but you as a person Steve Rogers are very strong." Sam says.
"Thank you." I say as we take off to Canada to get my daughter and sister-in-law.
