Chapter 35

After a romantic walk on the beach Nick and I decide that we should go eat at this restaurant in the hotel. We walk inside the restaurant and they seat us immediately in the back. "Wow babe this restaurant is amazing." I say looking at my menu. Nick grabs my free hand and holds it. I set my menu down and smile at him. This is what I love being here with my new husband just the two of us, but I do miss my baby. Our waitress walks up and stares at Nick like she's some kind of fan or she thinks he's really cute. "Hi I'm Macy I'll be your waitress for this evening. Can I get you something to drink?" She asks not taking her eyes off of Nick. "I'll have an ice tea." I say a little rude. "For you?" She says gesturing towards Nick. "Water please." Nick says to her. She smiles at him and then walks away. "Wow D I've never seen you so jealous before. Its kinda hot." Nick says to me. "I'm not jealous Nick." I say lying to him. Cause the truth is I am a little jealous because he is mine and no one elses.

She bring us our drinks and then takes our order. "So I've been thinking Nick." I say getting his attention after the waitress leaves. "Oh yea? What have you been thinking about baby?" He asks me. "Having a baby. I know we have Aubree but I really want a baby in the house." I tell him stroking his hand with my thumb. Nick smiles. "Well we will have to see what we can do about that." He says smirking at me. I giggle. "I wonder how are little girl is doing." I say sighing.

Maddie POV

Aubree has stopped crying finally since she talked to Demi. We are watching her favorite princess movie. Cinderella. Aubree is snuggled up in my lap. I love this little girl so much she is like my little sister. I hear my mom's phone start ringing. Aubree looks up at me with her thumb in her mouth. I kiss her forehead as my mom walks over. "Here Bree mommy wants to FaceTime with you." She says handing her the phone. Aubree takes the phone. "Hi baby girl! What are you doing?" Demi asks her. "We watching Cinderella." Aubree says "Awww. Are you and Auntie Maddie having fun?" I hear Demi ask her. Aubree nods her head. "Okay I have to go now but you be super good okay? I love you Bree." Demi tells her. "Wove you too mommy." Bree says to her. My mom takes her phone back and Aubree cuddles into me. I kiss her head and we continue to watch the movie.

After awhile Aubree falls asleep in my arms and I decide that I should put her to bed. I carry her up to the guest room where she is staying and carefully lay her down. As soon as I lay her down her eyes shoot open. Aubree begins to cry. "I want my mommy." She cries. "Baby she'll be back okay? Do you want me to stay with you?" I ask her rubbing her little arm. "No I want mommy!"She shouts at me. "Bree she'll be back. I promise." I tell her. "NO!" She screams and starts to kick her legs. My mom walks in. "What's going on Maddie?" She asks concerned. "She wants Demi." I explain to her. "Princess come see Grammy." My mom says opening her arms. "No! I want mommy!" Aubree shouts through her crying. "Aubree she will be back in a week. We're going to have a lot of fun okay?" My mom tells her. Aubree shakes her head no and then turns on her side away from me and hugs her teddy bear tight. I rub her back and she slowly cries herself to sleep.

Demi POV:

I just got off the phone with Aubree and she looked like she was exhausted. Nick walks up behind me and wraps his arms around my waist. I lean back into him and he starts to kiss my neck. "Mmmm." I say closing my eyes. "Like that?" He asks with a smirk. "Yes baby." I say smiling and the turning around to face him. He leans his forehead down to mine. I sigh, "Did we do the right thing Nick?" I ask him. "About what baby?" He asks me. "About leaving Aubree for a week?" I ask him. "I have to say yes babe. We never get to spend time like this. But since you're feeling so torn maybe we should cut our trip short." He suggests. Nick is right though we never get to spend alone time together. "I don't know babe. I really want to spend time with you. It's just I miss her so much and feel so bad that I left her." I tell him. "I understand Dems. Why don't we go back in a few days?" Nick say. I nod my head and lean into his chest. "You're an amazing man you know that?" I tell him as he bends down to kiss me. "I know but you're also an amazing woman and wife and mom." He says to me. I smile and lead Nick back into the hotel room.
