My Love Is Like a Star

Chapter 2

        I took Aubree up stairs to my room. We laid on my bed she was cuddled up next to me her head against my chest. "Your room isn't finished yet. We will go tomorrow and pick out some things for you and your room." I told her. I kissed her tear stained cheek. I looked at my bed side clock it was 7PM and neither one of us have eaten. I decided that I was going to give Aubree a bath and then I could order pizza or Chinese food. "Aubree..its bath time." I whispered in her ear. I watched as her eyes widened and she shook her head no. "Come on sweetie we'll get you cleaned up and then we'll eat dinner." I said smiling at her. Aubree sighed. I picked her up off my bed and walked into my bathroom. I set her down and turned on the faucet to fill up the bathtub. While the tub was filling up I tried to help Aubree undress. She wasn't happy about it. Every time I tried to help try to take her shirt off she would pull away from me and make a noise. "Its okay sweetie I promise I won't hurt you." I told her. She finally let me help her. I picked her up to set her in the tub and her body tensed up. "Sweetie its okay."  I set her gentely into the tub. I washed her hair and her body. I examined her body while I washed her. Only a few bruises nothing too serious to worry about. I was glad it was nothing serious.

         I smiled at Aubree and she smiled back at me. I was finishing up washing her hair when I felt water down my shirt. I saw a smirk on Aubree's face. She giggled. This was the first time I had seen her smile since we had gotten home. I laughed and splashed her back. It turned into a water war. I was soaked! I didn't care I was laughing so hard that I cried. Aubree was screaming and giggling. "No!!" Aubree screamed as soon as a dumped a thing of water over her head. I paused and looked at Aubree. That was the first time she spoke to me. I smiled at her. "Aubree what did you say?" I asked her. Aubree covered her mouth. "Its okay you can tell me sweetie." I re assured her. "I said no.." She told me quietly. "I am SO happy you talked to me!" I said giggling. I picked Aubree out of the tub with a towel. I was soaked and she was wet from the bath. I headed back into my room. I grabbed her underwear and an old shirt of mine and dressed her. I giggled at how big the shirt was on her. I changed into some comfortable clothes. I grabbed a brush from the bathroom and sat on the bed with my little girl in front of me. I brushed her soft wavy brown hair. She looked up at me and smiled. "I love you baby girl." I told her.

        After I finished brushing her hair we went down stairs. I called and ordered Chinese food. "Wanna watch a movie?' I asked her. She nodded her head yes. I put in Frozen assuming she hadn't seen it.  The door bell rang and I got up to get the food. "Aubree let's pause it and come eat." I said to her.  I paused the movie and helped her on to a chair in the living room. I scooped some rice and chicken on to her plate. She made a face but she ate it. I looked over at her as I finished my food. Her eyes started to droop. She was tired. "Sweetie finish your food for me and then we can go to bed."  I told her trying not to laugh. Aubree finished what she could before she laid her head on the table. I decided that she could sleep with me in my room tonight. 

        The next morning I woke up to a little girl snuggled into my chest. I laid there watching her sleep. Her beautiful blonde hair was all messy and she was in my Texas t-shirt. She made me smile and she made me happy. I scooted out of the bed trying not to wake her up. I went into my bathroom and took a quick shower. After I got dressed I walked out into my bedroom and saw my beautiful brown eyed daughter was awake. "Good morning sunshine." I said to her. She smiled at me.  She raised her arms up to me so I could pick her up. Hugged her tightly. "I love you Aubree." I said to her. I walked down stairs with Aubree in my arms. I set her at the table and fixed her a bowl of Coco Puffs. I had a blueberry muffin and a cup of tea. I sat down next to my daughter "Wanna go shopping today?" I asked her while she shoveled in her cereal. She nodded her head yes. "Okay. Aubree there is something I have to talk to you about. You may not know this but I'm a famous person and that means that there might be a bunch of big men with cameras at the mall today. Mommy will protect you from them. I will make sure that Max, my security guard is there with us. Okay sweetie?" She nodded her head. I kissed the top of her head and walked to the kitchen to rinse out my cup. "I all done." She said pushing her bowl of cereal way from her. I smiled so big because she spoke again. Her little voice was a little raspy and it was so adorable.  "Okay sweetie lets go get you dressed so we can go to the mall." I said has I scooped her up from her chair.

        We headed up stairs and I helped her get dressed. While Aubree was getting dressed I texted Max telling him that we were going to the mall and that we were going to need him to get inside. "Ready to go baby gir?"  "Yes mama." I smiled like crazy. She called me mom! GAH! I picked her up and spun her around. "I love you sooo much Aubree! Lets go shop until we drop!" I told her. I put her in her car seat and we took off for the mall.
