Chapter 11

It was 6 am and we were on the bus to Vancouver Canada. Aubree was asleep in my arms while I sat on the couch talking with Nick. "So Demi do you think she'll be okay with you on stage tonight?" "I hope so. She's never really left my side except at night when she sleeps." I said with a laugh. "She is my little piglet, princess, and whatever else I call her. I don't like leaving her. But you'll be with her right?" I asked him. He smiled at me. "Of course. I wouldn't want her to get upset that you're out on stage." He said smiling his white teeth at me. God I loved his smile. He's so perfect. "Thanks Nick you're the best." I said looking down at my little girl. Her wavy blonde hair all a mess and her little thumb in her mouth. All I could think about was how she would react without me next her. I pushed those thoughts aside and thought about her right now in my arms it was just perfect I love her in my arms and snuggling into me.

I felt Nick looking at me while I was looking down at my sleeping little girl. "What?" I said looking over at Nick. He shook his head. "Nothing. You're just so good with her." He said smiling down at Aubree. I was glad that someone thought that I was doing a good job with her. I smiled at him. "Thank you Nick that means a lot to me." Nick smiled at me. I stood up and walked to the bunks in the bus and laid Aubree down on one. I walked back to the couch and sat down next to Nick. "You're also good with her." I said slightly blushing. Nick smiled at me, "What do you mean? I'm not around her all the time like you are." "You just have something about you Nick. She really likes you. She's never bonded to someone that fast before. Not even my family. It took her several times to get used to my parents and Maddie before she would walk up to them by herself. You it took her maybe once and the next time you came over she walked right up to you." I told him. He smiled. "Wow. I didn't think she liked me that much." I smiled at him. "She likes you a lot. She always laughs when you're around." I got up to check on my girl, she's still sound asleep.

        It's now 8am and Nick and I have been talking for 5 straight hours. His arm was around the back of the couch. I started to lay my head on the arm rest next to me when he pulled me over to him. I laid my head on his chest and fell asleep. When I woke up Aubree was playing on the floor next to me with her toys. It was now 12 and Nick was still asleep with his arm around me. I slowly got up trying hard not to wake up Nick. I bent down and kissed Aubree's head. "Mommy you awake!" She said happily. "Yes baby mommy is awake." I said smiling at her. "How much longer mama?" She asked looking up at me with her big brown eyes. "About 4 more hours. So 8 more episodes of Princess Sofia." I told her helping her understand how much longer we would be in the bus before we got to the stadium. I walked over to the kitchen area to make some coffee and get Aubree a snack since she hadn't eaten yet. 

        Nick woke up when he smelled the coffee. I looked over at him, he was staring at me with those eyes. I smiled and handed him a cup of coffee. "Thanks." He said with a smile. "Mommy will you play princesses with me pwease?" She asked me in a cute little voice. I smiled down at her. "In just a few minutes cause you need to eat a snack or some lunch." I told her. She stuck out her lip and pouted. "I don't wanna eat. I not hungry." She told me. I bent down to her level. "Aubree Lynn you are eating and then mommy will play princesses with you. If you don't eat I won't play and you will sit on the bunk until we reach Vancouver." I told her sternly. I really hated to be the bad guy but she needed to know that I was being serious and not playing around. She got up quietly and walked over to the table and sat down. I put a plate of fruit in front of her and she picked at the strawberries. When she finished she walked over cautiously and hugged my legs tightly. I sighed of relief thinking she would be upset with me. 

        "I sowwy momma." She said sweetly. I hugged my girl and scooped her up setting her in between me and Nick on the couch. "Its okay baby girl. I love you. I just want you to grow up big and strong. So you have to eat for me okay?" I said kissing her head. She snuggled into me and I turned on the TV.
