Chapter 38

Nick POV

Pregnant? A new born in the house? I don't know if I'll be able to do this.. I think to myself as I wait for Demi to finish taking her pregnancy test. I hear the door open and Demi walks out smiling more. "So what are the results?" I ask a bit nervous. Demi smiles more. "It's positive." She says smiling and shows me the test. I smile a bit and kiss Demi's forehead. Demi leans into my arms and smiles. "We're gonna have another little one in the house." Demi says as she looks up at me with her beautiful brown eyes. I smile down at her. "Yea we are beautiful and I can't wait." I say trying to be calm about all of this. I hold Demi close and leads her to the couch. "Here babe you sit here and I'll go finish the dishes." I say kissing the top of her head and heading back into the kitchen.

Demi POV

I hope Nick is okay he seems kinda odd right I think to myself as I rub my stomach softly thinking about the baby that's growing inside me right now. I hear Aubree's little feet shuffle across the floor. "Mama." She says quietly from behind the couch. "Come around here baby girl mama wants to hold you." I say smiling. Aubree crawls around the couch and I carefully pick her up and kiss her head. "Mama can we go somewhere today?" Aubree asks as I hold her close to me. "Maybe my little love. We'll have to see what daddy has planned today." I say rocking her softly. Aubree stays quiet for a few mins and then falls asleep holding on to my shirt. I chuckle softly. "You're so perfect." I say whispering to Aubree as I move one of her curls from her face. Nick walks back into the living room. "Hey love." I say looking up at Nick as he stands by the couch. Nick smiles at me and then down at Aubree. "You okay babe?" I ask Nick. I hear him sigh, "What is it babe?" I ask looking up at him. Nick looks at me and then takes a seat on the couch next to me. "It's just," he pauses taking a breath. "Just I'm nervous Dems I've never been a dad except to Aubree and she's 3 not a new born. I don't know babe I just want to be the perfect dad for both of them." Nick says looking at the floor and then up at me. I smile at him. "Babe, you're an amazing dad to Bree and you're gonna be an amazing dad to the little one we're gonna have. It'll be hard work for a few months once the baby is here but, I know we can do this and I know you'll be a great daddy to them both." I say smiling at Nick trying to reassure him.

While Aubree naps on the couch next to me, nick and I cuddle on the couch. "We should do something fun today with Aubree." I say looking up at Nick with my head on his chest. Nick looks down at me. "What should we do today?" he asks softly rubbing my shoulder. " I don't know maybe we can go to the beach or something? She's never been." I say closing my eyes for a second. Nick smiles, "the beach sounds like a fun idea babe." he says smiling more at me.
