My Love Is Like a Star

Chapter 3

        We arrived at the mall and surprisingly there weren't any paparazzi there. I grabbed Aubree out of her car seat just as Max pulled into the parking lot. He walked us through the front doors of the mall. I set Aubree down and held her hand. We walked through the mall and we ended up at Claire's there was a little girl about her age getting her ears pierced. "Mommy! I wanna do that." Aubree said. "Are you sure? I mean you can I just want to be sure you want to." She nodded her head rapidly. We walked into Claire's and looked at all the earrings. "I want the rainbow flowers mommy." She said as she was looking at the earrings she could pick from. "Okay sweetie." The girl at the register had someone come back and help us out. "Okay sit up here in the purple chair. Which earrings would you like today?" The girl asked as she pulled the earring display out again. Aubree pointed to the rainbow flower pair. The girl placed purple dots on her ears to mark where she was getting the earrings. I smiled at Aubree. I knew she would cry after they were done. "Is there any possible way you could do them at the same time?" I asked her in a whisper. "Sure. Let me go get the other employee." She walked over and grabbed another person.  I kissed the top of Aubree's head. They stood on each side of her. Aubree got a scared look on her face but she didn't have time to panic because they shot the earrings through her ears. I smiled at how brave she was. I saw her start to cry and bent down to her level. "Mommy is so proud of you for being a big girl. Now we can pick out some new earrings for when they are healed." I picked her up and carried her over to the earrings. She picked out 3 pairs. We paid for everything and continued to shop at the mall.

          We went into the Disney store where there were Frozen toys. "Mommy mommy look! Its Elsa!!!" She screamed. I watched as she picked up the doll and looked at it. I knew I had to get it for her. I saw a Frozen dress and shoes and lots more that I ended up buying her. I also ended up buying her a Halloween costume for the big party I throw every year. We spent the rest of the time strolling through out the mall. We ended up being spotted by a fan who posted the picture online. Which meant paparazzi would show up soon. I grabbed Aubree's hand and we tried to run out the door but we had too many bags. Max took our bags from us and I scooped up Aubree and we ran out the door. Too late. Cameras everywhere. I grabbed at jacket from one of the bags that Max was holding and threw it over the back of Aubree. I walked very fast trying to ignore the paparazzi's questions and the annoying flashes of the cameras. But one paparazzi guy was very rude. "Hey Demi who's the baby daddy?" he shouted. I almost turned around and punched him square in the face but Max stopped me. We walked to the car and I set Aubree in her seat. I gave her an encouraging smile and kissed her cheek. "I love you Aubree. I will never let those guys hurt you." I told her. "I love you mommy." I heard her say in a whisper. She made my day by telling me that. I smiled at her and kissed her cheeks. She giggled when I tickled her. That was the first time she said I love you to me. 

        While I drove home both Aubree and I were singing to the radio. "Mommy I hungry." I heard her say. I looked at the clock it was 2:30PM and we hadn't eaten since this morning before we headed to the mall. "Okay princess what shall we go get for lunch?" I asked her while I turned down the radio. I didn't hear anything from her for a bit. "I want chicken nuggets mama." She finally said. I knew exactly where to take her. I went through the McDonald's drive through and got me a salad and her a chicken nugget happy meal. We got back to the house and we sat down at the table and ate our food. My phone went off. It was my manager Phil. I walked away from the table and answered the phone. "Hi Demi." "Hey Phil what's up?" "Well I was calling to remind you that we have a meeting about tour tomorrow." I had totally forgotten about tour. I was so busy with Aubree that I forgot that I was going on tour starting next month. I would be touring with Fifth Harmony, Cher Lloyd and Little Mix. "Oh okay. Umm I will have to bring Aubree but she's quiet and usually really good." I told him. "Okay just try not to be late. Meeting starts at 11AM." "I will try not to be. See you tomorrow." And with that I hung up the phone. Great. Now I have to tell Aubree that we are leaving for awhile. I walked back to the table and sat down next to my girl. I texted my mom telling her that they should call come over tomorrow for a family dinner and to get to know Aubree.
