My Love Is Like a Star

Chapter 5

        We ordered dinner after awhile of talking and playing with Aubree. Nick and Aubree seemed to be bonding very well together. He was so good with her. I was so proud of Aubree because she came out of her shell and talked with Nick. Normally it takes her a few times to get used to someone. We finished dinner and Nick had to leave. "See you tomorrow Demi." He said as he was getting ready to leave. "See you tomorrow Nick." He walked over and gave me a full hug. Not a side one a full on hug. It made my heart skip a beat. I smiled once he let go. "Bye bye Aubree. I'll see you tomorrow okay." He said as he bent down to her level and gave her a small hug. I smiled, seeing the two of them like that made me want to be with him even more. Nick left and I had to get Aubree ready for bed. "Come on Bree. Time for a bath." I told her. "No. No bath mama." She whined. "Yes bath. We have a big day tomorrow. Plus mommy wants snuggle time before bed." I told her. I picked her up and walked upstairs to my bathroom in my room. I gave Aubree a bath and changed her into her Elsa PJs. After I changed her I laid her on my bed so I could get myself changed into my PJs.

        As we were laying on my bed I decided to tell her about tour. "Aubree mommy needs to talk to you about something." She rolled over and looked up at me with her big brown eyes. "We are going to go on a long rode trip for awhile. And mommy is going to perform in different states. Its call touring." I explained to her. "Are you going to leave me by myself?" she asked me. "No baby. you will be able to come with me but you have to stay on the side of the stage with my friends. You get to watch me."  I told her. She looked sad. "Tell me what's wrong sweetie?" "You won't be with me the whole time and I want to be with you mommy." "Tell you what, if you are super good tomorrow at mommy's meeting with Nick and my manager you can come on stage with me sometimes during the show okay?" Her eyes light up when she heard that. She was so excited that she could be with me on stage. She yawned and snuggled into my chest. I wrapped my arms around her and we fell asleep.

        I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off. "mommy make it stop." I heard Aubree mumble. I reached over and turned it off and slid my arms off of her. I got myself ready for the day and woke Aubree up. "Come one sweetie we have to leave soon. I have an important meeting to get to." she rolled over and whined. I picked her up and carried her to her room and got her dressed. She wore a little black skrit and her little black converse and a grey shirt with a little kitty on it. I brushed her long wavy blonde hair and put it in a headband with a bow. We walked down stairs and I fixed her a bowl of cereal. She ate slowly, still tired I guessed. I walked over and grabbed my iPad and some of her favorite toys and put them into a bag. No one knew Aubree was my daughter except my close friends and family. The paps just assumed she was even though I didn't comment. I decided to check Twitter and see if anything had been posted yesterday about us being at the mall.  Only one thing popped up.  Demi Lovato spotted with child at mall. Who's the dad?  I knew the paps had sent this in because its the picture of me holding Aubree with a jacket over her. I decided to take a pic and posted on Twitter. 

        "Aubree come see mama." I called from the kitchen. She walked over to me and wrapped her little arms around my legs. "Let's take a picture because you just look to darn cute!" I said to her. She smiled widely. I bent down to her level and held the phone between us. She made a silly face and I smiled. I kissed the side of her head after we finished. "I love you princess." I said to her. "I love you  too mama." She said as she wrapped her arms around my neck. She let go and ran off to the living room to watch a little TV before we had to leave. I posted the picture on Twitter with the caption: Hey Lovatics! Meet my daughter Aubree! I adopted her a few days ago! I smiled as I pressed the Tweet button. "Aubree! Time to go sweetie. Please turn off the TV." I called as I was grabbing my keys from the counter. I grabbed her little hand and we walked out to the car. 

        We arrived at my meeting a few minutes late, but I'm always late so it didn't really matter. I carried Aubree through the studio doors and we went into a large room with a big rectangular table and about 12 chairs.  Nick and Phil sat in 2 of them waiting for me patiently. "Sorry guys! Lots of traffic!" I said setting Aubree in a chair. I handed her the iPad and some of her toys.  She sat next to me and played on her iPad quietly while we talked intently about the Neon Lights tour.
