My Love Is Like a Star

Chapter 13

        After my meet and greet I headed back to my dressing room where Nick sat with my little girl who was still asleep on the couch. I loved watching her sleep. She looked so adorable. As I walked in Nick stood up from watching her sleep. "Hey, how was meet and greet?" He asked in a whisper. "It was good. Lots of love from my fans." I said with a smile. He walked over and gave me a hug. I was pressed against his chest. It felt so right in his arms. I looked up at him through my eyelashes he looked down at me and smiled. "Demi..." "Yea Nick?" Before I knew it his lips were pressed against mine. I felt a shock through my body it was like someone light fireworks and it was amazing. He pulled away and I smiled at him. "I've been wanting to do that for weeks now." He told me. I giggled. "Well Im glad you did now." I said. He put his hands on my cheeks and pressed his lips against mind more passionately this time. We were interrupted with a little voice coming from the couch. "Mommy?" Aubree said sitting up. "I'm right here baby girl." I said peering around Nick. She smiled and got off the couch and ran to me. I picked her up. "Have a nice nap?" I asked her. She nodded her head yes. I kissed her cheek and grabbed the brush that was on my vanity. I sat down on the couch and brushed her long wavy blonde hair. 

        Nick looked over at me and Aubree and smiled. He came and sat down next to me. I looked over at him and smiled. He kissed the top of my head and got up and left me with my little girl. "Mommy?" Aubree said looking over her shoulder to me. "Yes baby girl?" "Do you like Nick?" I laughed at her question. "Yes baby girl I like Nick. He's my friend. Do you like him?" I asked smiling at her. "Yes momma he's really nice. And funny." She said smiling at me. "I'm glad you like him sweetie." I said kissing her head. Nick walked back into the room with 2 regular bottles of water and a small one for Aubree. "Here Bree, I got this for you." He said handing her the small bottle. She smiled at him. "Thanks Nick!" She said taking the small water from him. He handed me the regular sized bottle and kissed my cheek. A knock came to the door "Demi 30 minutes until show." Nat said. "Thanks!" I yelled to the door. I looked over at Aubree she wasn't in her happy mood anymore. "Mommy, I don't want you to go on stage again." She told me. "You can stand on the side in the wings where you and Nick were before baby and watch me." I said smiling. She still frowned and got on my lap and laid her head on my chest. 

        The half hour past and it was time for me to go out on stage. Aubree put up a good fight but she finally said she would stay with Natalie while Nick was singing with me and the Nick would hold her on the side until I was finished with the concert. I handed my daughter off to Natalie and Nick stopped me. "I'll be right there Nat!" I said as I stopped in front of Nick. "You're going to rock this show Demi. I believe in you." He told me and then he kissed my lips. I smiled up at him. "Thanks Jonas." I said blushing. He took my hand and we walked to the wings of the stage and he let go. I bent down and kissed Aubree. "Wove you mama." She said in her cute toddler voice. "Love you too baby! See you in a bit" I said as I headed out on stage. 

        After singing a few songs I decided to bring Nick out on stage. The crowd cheered and from the corner of my eye I saw my little girl waving at us. Nick and I sang Here We Go Again, Catch me and Stop the World. After we finished I hugged him and he kissed my cheek without making it noticeable. He walked off stage and I noticed him pick up my daughter who desperately wanted me.  I sang more songs and ended with Neon Lights. I ran off stage and kissed my daughter's head and went to change for the encore. I came back and kissed her head again and ran out on stage singing Skyscraper and Give Your Heart A Break. "THANK YOU VANCOUVER!!!!" I said as I ran off stage. Nick set Aubree on the floor. "MOMMY!!!" She screamed. "Hi princess!!!" I said scooping her off the ground and spinning her around. "Mommy you goooodddd." She said. I laughed and so did Nick. We walked back to my dressing room so I could change out of my clothes. When I was done changing the three of us headed to the bus. Once we were in I set Aubree down and she ran to get her stuffed bear that she loved so much.

        Nick hugged and then kissed my cheek. "Great job tonight D." He said with a smile on his face. I blushed. "Thanks Nick." He tried to kiss me but Aubree showed up just before he could. She made her grabbing gestures toward me. So I picked her up. I smiled at her and tickled her tummy. Her screams and giggles filled the bus. "No mommy!" She said to me. I laughed. "Okay mommy won't tickle you....for now." I said smiling. She was smiling at me. "Come on kiddo time for you to get ready for bed time." I told her. We walked into my bed room and I grabbed her Elsa night gown. I helped her change. "Mommy I sleep in here with you pwease?" She said with her puppy dog pout. I couldn't resist. "Sure baby girl." I said sighing. "Mommy wont be in for a few minutes though so you have to lay down for a bit without me." I told her. She nodded her head. "Mommy sing to me." I agreed. She laid down and I began to sing Skyscraper.
