*2 months after tour*

Aubree and I decided that we would relax after we got home from tour. We haven't seen Nick since we got home and got settled in. I am so happy that we're back in LA. I've missed my apartment. Its almost Aubree's birthday. I can't believe my little girl is going to be 4. Time has flown by it seems like yesterday that I adopted her. "Mama." A little voice broke my thoughts. "Yes baby girl?" I said looking down at my little brown eyed girl who's head was now on my lap. "Can we go somewhere tomorrow? I tired of sitting at home." She said. I laughed. We hadn't really gone out since tour. "How does shopping sound?" I asked her. She nodded her head yes and smiled at me. I leaned down and kissed her forehead. "I love you so much Aubree." I whispered as I sat back up. Aubree sat up and threw her little arms around my neck. "I wove you too mama." She said. We sat like this until my phone rang. I kissed the top of her head and walked over to the kitchen to grab my phone. It was Maddie. "Hey Maddie." "Demi I wanna come to your house. Mom and I got into a fight and I can't stay here. Please come get me. " She begged. I sighed. This had been happening a lot lately. "Okay let me get some shoes on and me and Aubree will be over soon. " "Thanks Demi you're the best." "Yea I know." I said hanging up the phone. "Bree! Go get some shoes please we have to go somewhere really fast." I yelled from the kitchen. I heard little feet run up the stairs. I walked over to the couch and sat down and put on my converse. Aubree came back down and sat next to me handing me her pink flats. I smiled and helped her put them on. I grabbed my keys and phone of the coffee table and then scooped up Aubree and headed to get Maddie.

We arrived at my parent's house and I knocked on the door with Aubree on my hip. To my surprise my mom opened the door not Maddie. "Demi, I wasn't expecting you. What are you doing here." Before I could answer Maddie spoke up. "I'm going over to Demi's. I don't want to stay here tonight. " She said walking down the stairs with a bag in her hand. "Madison you're not going over there. You're staying here." My mom said. I set Aubree down and told her to go play a game on my phone until we had to leave. "Mom, its okay. She can stay with me. I don't mind." My mom gave me the look she always gave when you say the wrong thing in front of the wrong person. "Demi she's staying here." "No I'm not!" Maddie said as she walked out the front door and slamming it. "Mom clearly she needs time away from here. I'll bring her back tomorrow." I said. My mom sighed and nodded. "Come on Aubree lets go babe." She got off the couch and handed me my phone. I took her little hand. I hugged my mom and we walked out the door.

"Okay Maddie you gonna tell me what happened tonight between you and mom?" I asked Maddie on the car ride home. "She just got on my nerves. I wanted to go out with Bea and some of our other friends but she kept telling me it was too late and how I shouldn't be hanging around some of my friends cause they aren't very good influences when she doesn't even know how they are. Oh! And I got offered to audition for a TV show again but she says I shouldn't do it." I sighed. That wasn't like mom. She always encouraged us to go for whatever we wanted. Maybe she was just over thinking as always. "Madds she's just over thinking again. This'll all blow over tomorrow." I said smiling at her. She gave a weak smile. I looked in the rearview mirror and my little blonde headed girl was staring out the window smiling away. We finally arrived back at my house. I got out of the car and helped Aubree out of her seat. She immediately ran over to Maddie and grabbed her hand. Maddie looked down at her and smiled. We walked into the house, "Mad Mad?" Aubree said. "Yes Bree?" Maddie said smiling at her. "You sleep with me in my room tonight?" Aubree asked her in her cute little toddler voice. Maddie smiled at her. "Sure sweetie if that's where you want me to sleep." I laughed and then walked into the kitchen to make some hot chocolate for the girls. About an hour later Maddie was doing Aubree's nails while watching Frozen for the 3rd time. I was cleaning up the house when I realized that it was almost midnight. "Aubree, after your nails dry its time for bed. " I told her. "Noooo mommy. I no sleep. I stay up with Auntie Maddie." She whined. "Yes Aubree. You're a big girl and big girls need their sleep." I said sternly. She gave me the puppy dog pout face and I looked away. Everytime she made that face I gave into what she wanted.

"I am tired Aubree. We should go to sleep after your nails dry like mommy said." Maddie told her. Aubree looked up at Maddie with her big brown eyes, she took in a deep breath and sighed. "Otay Auntie Maddie." She said sadly. Maddie smiled at me and I mouthed thank you. Maddie nodded her head. Maddie bent down and felt Aubree's fingers. "They're dry." Maddie said smiling. Aubree yawned and walked over to me. She raised her arms in an up motion. I looked down at her while she rubbed one eye and smiled. I scooped up my baby and walked up the stairs with Maddie trailing behind us. I laid my little girl in her big bed and tucked her in. I handed her, her little brown bear and kissed her forehead. "I love you Aubree so much." I whispered to her as her eyes closed. " I wove you too mama." She said. Maddie climbed into her bed next to her. I walked over to her and gave her a hug. " Love you baby sis. I am just down the hall if you need me." I said kissing her forehead. " Love you to Demi. And thanks." I walked down the hall to my room.
