The Unknown a Project 863 Story

Eric's Apartment

Following The Discovery of a 2nd Mountaineer and Eric's Offer the team decides to head to Eric's apartment to see what new information Eric has to share with them. What will they find, what questions will they answer and most importantly what will this mean for Project 863... Only Time Will Tell.

Matt- So we are going to Eric's apartment for the first time... ever, um I'm not really sure what we're going to find but I'm hoping we're going to get some answers on some things but I'm not going to be to hopeful.

Sam- Yeah, but we need to keep an open mind as we don't know what we will find.

Matt- Right, but we also need to make sure we have enough space to store this stuff in the vault.

Sam- Yeah.

Matt- Anyways we're about 10 minutes out so let's start getting ready to see Eric's apartment.

At Eric's Apartment complex

Matt Parks the Tesla and then sees the state of the Apartment Complex

Matt- Whoa what happened to this place?

Sam- Are we even sure this is the right Address?

Matt- Yeah, the GPS says this is the place, Oh hey there's Eric. Eric, Is this the place?

Eric- Yes and I can see your very confused well allow me to explain, This Apartment Complex was Abandoned back in 2006 and I moved into one of the Abandoned Apartments a year later in January of 2007. This Allowed me to have a base of operations. I've also been using it as a sort of Hideout, but don't worry we're the only ones here so we should be fine. Anyways Follow me and I'll show you, my apartment.

Matt- Ok come on guys let's go.

Matt, Sam, Woods and Bailey get of the Tesla

Matt- Alright Eric Lead the way.

Eric- Ok right this way guys.

Eric leads the team to a second-floor apartment Labeled #217, and he proceeds to open the door

Eric- Project 863 Welcome to my apartment.

Matt- Wow nice place you've got here Eric.

Eric- Thanks, now if you'd please follow me, I'll show you where I do most of my filing and investigative work.

Matt- Ok Lead the way

Eric leads the team to a Room With a bunch of filing cabinets and a desk with an Apple II on it.

Matt- Wait you have an Apple II, since when?

Eric- Well I've had that Apple II since 2010 however I've made many upgrades to it since I first got it.

Matt- Upgrades? What kind of Upgrades?

Eric- Memory Storage Expansion, Stronger Internet Connection software, a more powerful Microprocessor, Satellite Signal Connection Software, all kinds of Upgrades to help me with most of my research, But I always seem to find something else that needs to be upgraded. Anyways, yeah feel free to look around and you can ask me about anything you find, and I'll try to give as best of an answer as I possibly can.

Matt- Ok, guys start looking through all these files and see if you can find anything interesting.

A Few Minutes of Looking through Eric's files later

Matt- Oh hey I think I found something.

Sam- What is it?

Matt- It's a file on something called PROJECT PHANTOM. There's another one Labeled PROJECT PHANTOM SUBJECTS #1&#2, Eric what is This?

Eric- Project Phantom was a Project that Nelson Himself started to recruit people to be his "Phantoms", People like me and Ben.

Matt- Well then Who's Subjects 1&2?

Eric- Benjamin Is Subject 1 and I am Subject 2. We were the first "Phantoms" Nelson Recruited.

Matt- Huh, Well let's look at the Main Project file and see what we can find.

Matt Opens the PROJECT PHANTOM File and starts to look through it.

Matt (reading a document from the file)- Project Phantom has been very Successful so far and with the added help of Benjamin and Eric I've been able to recruit many followers to my side. This has allowed me to make considerable progress on My goals for the company as a whole. There are some concerns that I have, my 1st concern is with Eric. I fear he may be planning to betray me and follow in the footsteps of Wesley. My 2nd Concern is about her, my Concern is that she's going to try to get rid of me so she can take control of the company and bury my legacy and make sure that the world will forget about me forever. I must ensure this doesn't happen and I know exactly who to talk to about this. I will make sure Deb will fall. (Matt finishes reading the document) Whoa this sounds like Nelson, and it sounds like he's talking about Deb here at the end.

Eric- He is.

Matt- Well can you tell us more?

Eric- Sure. Nelson was afraid that Deb was planning to get rid of him but I'm fairly certain that this was just pure paranoia getting to him, but Nelson had other reasons to be afraid at Syntec.

Matt- What did Nelson have to fear at Syntec?

Eric- Everything and Everyone. Nelson made many enemies during his time as Syntec CEO. Deb chief among them, but there were others who wanted Nelson gone.

Matt- who else besides Deb and Wes would have wanted Nelson gone?

Eric- Many, Many people. Nelson had plenty of enemies at Syntec and outside of it. Anyone he talked to could have been planning to kill him or remove him from his position. I... I knew such a person.

Matt- Who?

Eric- Subject 24. Also Know by her real name... Brianna Cobalt.

Matt- Wait, when you say Cobalt is that as in Benjamin Cobalt?

Eric- Yes. She was his daughter.

Matt- What! Ben had a Child?

Eric- Yes and I've been trying to find her for years.

Matt- Oh is that why you were doing so much research in your office at the studio since you've been working with us?

Eric- Yes. I should've told you guys sooner, but I was so busy with everything that's been happening. But I would like your help in finding her. As I've hit a dead end in my research so I thought maybe with your help I could find her.

Matt- Eric we would be happy to help. Right guys

Sam- Yeah

Bailey- of course

Woods- Ya

Eric- So, then you'll help me?

Matt- Yes.
