Lucy was a genius, and there was no doubt about it, but her plan did, very much, need some work.

"If we put Jaye and Millie together, they'll set fire to the apartment hoping that the other would be stuck in there."

"Yeah, and if Aimie's away from Alexia for more than five minutes, she'll cry like a toddler."

"Yes alright, alright!" Lucy said, raising her hands before her to defend herself. "It's a work in progress, I know."

"We can put Millie and Maiya together."

"Oh, Millie would have a great time," Toby snickered.

"But would Maiya?"

"I don't think Maiya would be too bothered."

"Look, according to Wikipedia, Parr allowed Elizabeth Tudor to go through much nonsense, much with resembles Katherine Howard's experiences. In reality, I don't think Anne would be much pleased to be within ten metres of Parr."

"True, but look at Millie. She looks like a lovesick puppy."

"It's painful to watch."

Vicki rolled her eyes. "In this scenario, 'Anne' cares more about her love life than her daughter."

"Evidently so."

"So we put them together."

"It's not like Maiya would like Millie back."

"Yeah. We're asking for Millie to be friend-zoned."

"No harm in that."

"Now we're taking advantage of their insanity."

"You think?"

Lucy sighed. "Right, Millie and Maiya, Aimie and Alexia, Natalie and Jaye'J, Grace and Courtney."

"Good to go," the other two nodded.

"Morning gang, nice to see you bright and happy on this fine Wednesday morning," Toby said, gathering the eight queens to the stage.

"How would you like to live in London for a bit?"

"What do you mean?" Maiya asked.

"Look, I think we all know that something weird's been happening recently, and we want to fix it," Lucy said. "We'd like to pair you in flats so you get to know each other really well, just like before. Like flatmates."

"Sounds fun," Lexi said, nodding. "I can do a week off from my son. All I've been getting are calls from his teacher saying he won't stop the chit-chat in lessons."

"I guess this plan works in your favour. We're planning on keeping pairs of you together for a week max, before swapping you around."

"You'll all be in different apartments altogether, so no escaping," Toby warned.

"Who's with who?" Nat asked.

"Right, Courtney and Grace-"

"YES!" they both shouted, high-fiving.

"Nat and Jaye'J." The two women nodded, Jaye'J giving Nat a smile.

Millie looked to the floor, cracking her knuckles, before looking up to Toby, who was staring back at her.

"Look at her," he whispered to Vicki. "She's terrified, you can see it."

"Why? We've taken Jaye'J outside of the ball game altogether."

"She wants to be with Maiya. Watch," Lucy whispered, turning her attention back to the four remaining. "Millie and Aimie would be nice," she said loudly, as Toby and Vicki watched closely at her expression. She was still frowning, and the clicking wouldn't stop. Aimie seemed happy but smiled at Lex rather bittersweetly. "Actually, Millie and Maiya?" Lucy suggested, and Millie's eyes lit up. She flicked her head to Maiya and smiled widely. "Told ya," Lucy said to Vicki.

"I see it now."

"So I'm with Lexi?" Aimie asked.

"Yes," Toby confirmed, earning a squeal from the oldest members of the group.

"Well, wasn't that easy?" Lucy said as the three were left alone on the stage.

"Mhm, but all we have to do is wait and see."
