TW: I'm sorry about the ending because it isn't realistic and my mind was bouncing off walls, I'll write a makeshift ending at the end I promise, Adrianna's done some shit irl and of course who am I to not use it for a fic, except, I'm exaggerating a lot, like, a lot, so don't dislike her because I do, and no, I don't expect her to do anything she did in the book, I just needed a violent character tbh

Other, more concise TW: Lucy's an idiot, Sam has supportive parents, SamDre cuteness, gun, death, a bad ending which I'll resolve at the end

"So, yeah, just thought we'd let you know... We're as gutted as you are... We'll be posting and stuff, don't worry... Love you guys."

Dre switched off the live, and Sam sat back, tears falling down her cheeks.

"Oh, baby," Dre sighed, crawling into the taller women's arms and snuggling her to cheer her up. "Come on, Sam. Don't be so upset."

"We've lost our jobs because we love each other. Dre, what's the next step?" Sam trembled, the vulnerability in her voice making Dre's heartbreak.

"We'll see. For now, I need you to be strong. I wouldn't be able to get through this with you, baby."

"I love you. Even if I lose absolutely everything I own, I'll still always love you," Sam insisted.

"You're mine, sweetie. No one else's."

--------------------------

Following their announcement, the couple received many messages from their fans, apologises and whatnot. The thought of leaving the fandom made Sam's heart pound in fear. Fans were a part of why she loved her job and the fear of no longer receiving love from the people who supported her from day one. She cried every day, performed each performance to the best of her ability (not that she didn't beforehand, but she tried even harder this time), and prepared her parents for the bad news.

Dre did the same, but she refrained from crying in front of Sam. She didn't want Sam to see her cry, and see how vulnerable she was. She wanted to come across as Sam's protector, and she wouldn't be able to do that without seeming strong.

She thought Sam didn't know, but the quiet sobs coming from the bathroom late at night made Sam's bones chill.

-------------------

"LUCY YOU- YOU- sickly sweet piece of... paste?... which has been excreted by an ugly bird with a brown col-."

"Just say it," she groaned.

"LUCY YOU PIECE OF SHIT! WHY WOULD YOU PUT THEM THROUGH THAT?"

"I don't know."

"LUCY YOU'VE FUCKED WITH THEIR MINDS!"

"I'm sorry. Line graphs aren't easy to read."

"How did you pass you're a-levels?"

"I didn't do anything science, maths or even graph related."

Lucy and Toby were sitting in their hotel in New York, Lucy sitting on Toby's bed, twiddling her fingers, as Toby paced around the room, hands to his head in stress.

Apparently, the sales hadn't dropped at all since Sam and Andrea came out to the public. In fact, they had risen. Risen by a lot. And Toby was mortified by Lucy's actions. Lucy was meant to be the reliable one.

"WE'VE GOT TO CALL EVERYONE BACK AND CANCEL THE TRANSFORMATIONS AND BILLS!"

"I'll do that."

"NO. NO, YOU WILL NOT. YOU WILL CALL ANDREA AND SAMANTHA PERSONALLY TO TELL THEM HOW MUCH OF AN IDIOT YOU ARE."

"Easier said than done, but I'll try."

"LUCYYYYYYYYYYYYY YOU LITTLE- calm down, Toby, calm down, CALM DOWN- SHIT-"

"We're both idiots, remember. You can't expect me to be more of an idiot than you because we're both equally idiots. Tall, large Henry the eighth remember?"

"Lucy you're an idi- ah yes tall large Henry VIII okay never mind, we're both idiots. Carry on."
