TW: SamDre, homophobic Pringles man, Sam got sass, Toby ran out of data, SamDre could be getting fired

"I'm cold," Sam whined, wrapping herself up in Dre's extra sweater as the pair walked down the wide streets of New York.

"I told you to bring more layers," Dre reprimanded, nuzzling her girlfriend.

"I thought you'd keep me warm."

"You can't sit on my lap in the metro, Sam. People would think they were weirdos."

"Aren't we though?"

Dre rolled her eyes, walking into the station. "Well? Come on!"

-------------------

Edit: realised I didn't make this clear, they're on the metro.

"I saw us on the boards," Sam said, lost in thought. She rested her head on Dre's shoulder. "You look so gorgeous in those. Like really happy."

"So do you. I don't know. You're perfect all the time."

"No, you are," Sam kissed her cheek. "I love you, Dre," she said quietly.

"I love you too, baby."

"Kiss?"

"Mhm." Sam leant up to capture Dre's lips.

The women were too lost in thought to notice the man sitting in front of them, shielding his child's eyes.

"Is your daughter okay?" Dre asked the man, who was staring at them like a hawk.

"I don't want her seeing such unholy behaviour in a public environment," he replied sharply. Dre knew what he was referring to, and rolled her eyes.

"What's happening?" Sam asked confused and panicked, looking around frantically.

"Don't worry baby, I'll sort it out," Dre whispered to (a still very confused-looking) Sam.

She diverted her attention back to the man.

"What's unholy?" she sighed, knowing his response was going to be along the lines of 'It's bad to be gay, therefore fuck y'all', so she leant back casually.

"Kissing. It's not appropriate for a child to watch such horror."

"Has your child never seen you kiss your wife?"

"Yes, plenty of times."

"Then what's the big difference?" Dre asked, knowing the answer.

"We're girls?"
"You're girls."

They spoke at the same time, Dre giving him a look of 'So what's your point exactly?', and him giving her a look of 'You sinful piece of shit'.

"Dre's my girlfriend. I can kiss her when I want to, as long as I have her consent. I don't need anybody else's to kiss my girlfriend, Mister Why-Does-Your-Moustache-Make-You-Look-Like-The-Pringles-Man," Sam piped up, but Dre shushed her promptly, in case she became ruder and more aggressive. Keep it classy.

"You're affecting the child," he accused, making them both roll their eyes.

"So keep her eyes covered then," Dre shrugged, and out of spite, Sam kissed her neck once again, maintaining eye contact with the man.

"You disgust me."

"Your opinion doesn't matter to us. Believe me, when you're on Broadway doing ten shows a week with a career and livelihood made by your face appearing on billboards everywhere you look, trust me you wouldn't care less about what people think," Sam snapped, moving from Dre's shoulder to sit upright. She leaned over to him. "You wouldn't. Care. Less," she snarled.

"Just because you're famous doesn't make you right."

"But what makes you think that you're right?" Sam asked. All the while, Dre sat back, admiring her girlfriend's feistiness.
