TW: I forgot to update (that's new!), this has an unhappy happy ending which is highly based on Everything, Everywhere, All At Once, JayeLex are definitely a thing (I did not intend but reading it back, it was very cute), suic!de, more death, Grace loves cake, personal request here: please don't hate on Aimie,
"Alright, Mil, I'm going to go and pay. You gather your things, alright?"
Millie nodded, watching Aimie walk down the stairs.
Aimie paid for the food, before slipping into the bathroom. She pulled out her knife, took it out of its case and placed it securely in her pocket. She sprayed some morphine into a napkin and folded it up, scrunching it in her fist.
She had to do what she had to do, and there was no time to waste.
"Millie, sweetheart! Are you ready?" she shouted, walking up to Millie, who was waiting patiently. She nodded, and Aimie took her hand, walking out.
"Are you going to get a taxi?" Millie asked, walking into the darkness.
"Yeah, lemme call one."
Aimie let go, walking to the corner.
"Maiya. Bring the car over. I have her ready," she whispered.
"Alright, coming."
"They'll be here soon," Aimie smiled, wrapping her arms around Millie's waist for the final time. "You know, Mil. I don't think I ever told you this, but I really, truly, deeply love you. You're one of a kind, Millie..."
Millie smiled. "I feel the same way about you as well."
"Millie, what I'm about to do is not a true depiction of my feelings for you, but I have to do what I have to do. Just... just always know that I love you. I love you no matter what. I will always love you, forever and ever and ever."
Millie frowned. "What are you goi-"
"Oh look! The Uber is here," Aimie interrupted, walking around her and into Maiya's car.
"Where to?" Maiya asked, checking her phone constantly.
"Home."
"Aims she doesn't know where-"
"Shut up, Emilia," Maiya snapped. Millie's head snapped to Aimie who looked unusually comfortable.
"What?" Aimie mouthed to Millie, who immediately turned to panic.
"Alrighty, home we shall go," Maiya sang, beginning to drive again.
"Aimie," Millie whispered.
"Yes?"
"She sounds like the scary person from yesterday. And she knew my name! Aren't you phased?"
"No, Millie. Not at all," Aimie said, stone-faced. All warmth from her voice had disappeared.
"Aimie," Maiya said from the front. "Whenever you're ready."
"Yes, Maiya," Aimie said. Millie began to breathe faster, pulling on Aimie's arm.
"Aimie? How do you know who she is? Aimie, please! Aimie? Aimie! AIMIE?!"
Aimie turned over, forcing the morphine-soaked napkin onto Millie's face. She flopped back in her car seat.
"Well done. See, it wasn't so hard, was it?"
Aimie groaned. "Now what?"
Maiya stopped the car, flinging a scroll to the back. "Read this, bitch."
"Okay, got it."
---
"Aimie... Aimie... where am I?" Millie asked groggily. The room wasn't dark but was rather grim, and completely empty. It didn't take her long to realise that she had been tied to a chair. "Aimie?" she whispered meekly, her little voice shaky.
