TW: There will be smut in part 3 I promise, more Graiya, is this a filler? not sure.
I don't have a crush on her... do I?
Aimie's words stuck with Maiya for longer than expected, as did the image of her nude torso (not that Maiya minded) (Okay she did).
She was in disbelief, according to Millie, who bought another whiteboard of her own (inspiration: Aimie Atkinson) to tally the number of times the women talked about each other in a positive fashion behind the other's back.
"I think you should date," Aimie admitted, finally.
"Aimie's gay-o-meter is never wrong. Ever," Lexi stressed.
"She did set me up with Vicki though," Millie reminded.
"Okay, fine. It can be a little off. But otherwise, she's never wrong," Natalie assured.
"But I'm straight," Maiya persisted.
"And so am I," Millie shrugged.
"No, for real."
"Maybe you're like Aimie. Aimie thought she was straight, but then she met Genesis. Now she admits that she falls in love with anyone, but it took her quite some time to come to terms with that," Natalie explained, and Aimie smiled.
"In other words, her parents thought she was less straight than she did," Genesis snickered.
"Look, we'd know if you like someone because we know you better than anyone else here. Plus, I have a feeling Grace may be into you as well. Here's the deal. You go and tell her that we're making fun of you about the whole situation, and then say something along the lines of 'Just date me to shut them up', and then go out, and see what happens. If you end up realising that you do like her, then tell her. If she rejects you (which probably won't happen), then take it in your stride, and say that you're sorry and that the feelings were superficial so that there's no need for your friendship to be awkward."
 "Aimie-"
"It will work. It worked once. It should work again."
 "Worked on who?"
 "Gen."
"Alright, I'll do that. If anything goes wrong-"
"We'll say it's a prank," Jaye'J nodded, shoving her out of the door. "Go on, and don't come back until you've asked her out."
----
"Gracie..."
"Gracie? That's new. Anyway, what's up, Mai?" Grace asked, turning in her chair. Maiya walked in, closing the door behind her.
"How are you," she began slowly. She walked to Grace, standing behind her.
"Great, you?" Grace asked, leaning back until her head rest on Maiya's torso.
"Fine. The girls are irritating, and they want us to go out tonight. I don't know if they mean it as a date or just another one of the nights we had before, but can we do something? I really need to shut them up."
 "Oh... after the show tonight?"
 "Tomorrow, if that's possible."
"Date night? I'm up for it."
"Alright, we'll work out the details tomorrow. Thank you."
 "No problem, Mai."
Maiya left the room, walking back to her own dressing room. She tried to open it, but the door was locked.
"OPEN UP!" Maiya banged on the door.
"DID YOU ASKED HER OUT? WHAT'S THE PASSWORD?"
"THERE'S A PASSWORD?!"
 "DID YOU ASK HER?"
"YES!"
"ALRIGHT, I'M OPENING THE DOOR!"
The door clicked, and Collette opened it. "Good girl. Now, what did she say?"
 "Tomorrow night."
 "Tomorrow night what?" Natalie asked.
"I don't know."
"Mai! You were supposed to plan something!" Millie said.
"Yes, we did. I promise. I said what Aimie told me to, and we said that we should go out tomorrow. We haven't decided where or what, but it's definitely happening."
"Good. Maiya, enjoy your last day of being single," Aimie smiled, standing up from Genesis' lap.
