Misha's POV~
"TAALI, WHERE ARE YOU?!" I screamed into the phone.
"Calm down, I'm coming, I'm coming! The kids are just going crazy and to my sisters are asking me to take care of them!" I heard some screaming in the background and Taalia yelling at them to be quiet. "Ya Allah, these kids will be the end of me! I'll try to be there in ten minutes, okay habibti?"
"Okay, just try to hurry!" After saying salaam, I cut the phone. I was SO nervous! Today was mine and Saqib's engagement and Taalia had decided to keep both of our dresses at her house. I only had three hours until the guests would arrive and I still had to get ready then help my mom with the food and stuff downstairs.
Saqib and I had decided to have a small Fatiha at my house with just our family members and close friends. The Nikah would be much bigger.
After about twenty minutes, Taalia finally showed up.
"YOU THEIZE!" I shouted at her.
"KHARA!" She shouted back.
"YAHMAR!" We both cried at the same time.
"The party starts in less three hours AND YOU JUST GOT HERE!" I yelled.
"It ain't my fault my sisters had so many kids." She said bluntly. I rolled my eyes and hurried up to my room.
We both got ready and as we made our way down the final steps, Saqib's family arrived. He looked up at me and I noticed him blush.
"A-Asalamu Alaikum." He stammered. I felt my cheeks flush and I looked down.
"Wa Alaikum Asalam." I replied quietly. I heard Taalia groan.
"Ew, you guys are so gross. No need to act to formal with each other, people! Now chop chop, the guests will be here soon!" She said and started pushing me towards the big living room where it was all set for the Fatiha.

Taalia's POV~
I smiled as I watched Misha and Saqib sat together at the front of the room for the Fatiha. They just looked so cute! Especially since Saqib was also wearing a blue dress shirt under his tuxedo to match with Misha. Her silver hijab perfectly complimented his silver tie and it looked so nice! I looked around at everyone in the room and noticed that almost all of the couples were matching. I felt a small pang in my chest. I wish I could have done something like that with someone. I looked to Raza. He was matching with all of the kids who were wearing blue and silver clothes as well. I grinned to myself and looked back to the couple.
After they had exchanged rings, the Imam from our Masjid, Imam Maahir started reading Surah Al-Fatiha and we all raised our hands in dua. After everything was read, Misha and Saqib were officially engaged! As people lined up to wish the happy couple, I ran up to Misha and gave her a hug.
"Habibti!! One step away from being a wife!" I cried.
"One step away from leaving my nagging mother!" Misha cried and when Aunty gave her a look, Misha sent her an air kiss and we laughed. I really hoped Misha wouldn't change and will forever remain like her stupid self!
I stepped away when one of Misha's aunts came and moved over to Raza who was playing with all of the kids.
"Hey, Raza!" I said, taking a seat beside him.
"Help me!" He cried. I laughed. The kids all loved their Uncle Raza, especially for his video games. Once they saw him, they never let him out of their sight.
"Kids, go to the backyard, there is a new swing set for you guys!" The kids all stopped and stared at me and after a few seconds, they charged for the back door. Actually, my dad planned on building it after the Fatiha... oh well.
"YA ALLAH, THESE KIDS!" Ammu cried as they almost toppled her over. Raza and I started laughing our heads off and Ammu gave us a glare.
"You children enjoy my pain, don't you?" We laughed more.
"Love you too, Mama!" Raza said. Ammu chuckled and shook her head then went over to Misha's mom.
After about an hour more of wishing, playing, laughing, running, then praying Zuhr, it was time to eat. I went to go help Aunty and my mom serve the food and when Aasim was the next person in line, my heart skipped a beat and I knew that I was blushing. He was wearing red with a silver tie. I immediately looked towards Misha who had noticed me and was smirking. I gave her a death stare. Thank goodness Dawoud nor Jala were here...
"Would you like the brown rice or white?" I asked, turning back to Aasim. He seemed to have noticed our similar colour choice as well. Well, of course he would wear red, it was his favourite colour!
"Brown." As I started serving the food onto his plate, Misha's mother called me over. As I finished up with Aasim, I hurried over towards her.
"Yes, Aunty?" I said as I approached her.
"Habibti, I need you to go down to the basement and get the box with the drinks, I completely forgot to bring them up before!" She said. I nodded and made my way to the basement door. As I picked up the box of drinks, my arms started to suddenly feel very weak.
Oh no. Please, not now! I begged myself. I took a deep breath and hoisted up the box with both hands while closing the storage room with my foot. When the door finally closed, I carefully made my way up the stairs to the upper floor. As I was halfway up the stairs, I suddenly felt short of breath. I was really tired and I couldn't keep myself stable anymore. I felt the heavy box fall and crash onto the stairs, hitting my feet as well. I winced in pain and was losing my balance. I reached out to grab the railing but I missed. My vision was blurring and I felt weak at my knees. I started to tip over backwards when I felt someone grab me by my waist and hand and pull me back up. I leaned against them, breathing heavily. My breathing pace went back to normal and my vision cleared a bit and when I could finally see properly, my eyes widened at the sight of a red shirt in front of me. I quickly backed away and rubbed my head, from which the pain was finally dispersing.
"Are you okay?" He asked quietly. I nodded slightly then cleared my throat. Astaghfirullah, Astaghfirullah, Astaghfirullah...
"Yes, I am, thank you." I didn't make eye contact but I knew he was staring at me.
"Are you sure?" He asked. I looked up at him and smiled.
"Yes, I am." He gave me a look and I stopped smiling.
"Maybe you should go lie down for a bit."
"No it's okay, I just-"
"Taalia..." He said sternly.
"Okay, fine, I'll go." I said but first I decided to pick up the box of fallen drinks. I hoped that the cans inside didn't break. He stopped me though.
"Taalia, leave it and go lie down, you're not feeling well. Do you want me to tell Raza?" He threatened. I winced. If Raza found out, I would be in trouble.
"Okay, boss." I stood up and started walking up the stairs again.
"Taalia?" I looked down to him.
"Yes?"
"Don't push yourself." I smiled.
"Okay. Thank you, Aasim." Astaghfirullah, Astaghfirullah, Astaghfirullah, what had I just done?!
