Taalia's POV~
"Hey, Leen. It's Taalia again. Can you please call me back? We're all worried about you, you haven't called or anything. Please habibti, we miss you. Please call back." I ended the voice message, wiping the tears from my eyes. It had been a week after my return home and I had been trying to contact Aleena and her family every single day. I was tempted to go over to Florida myself to make sure she was okay but, of course, I couldn't.
My phone beeped at an incoming text message. It was from Misha.
Mxshaxx_: Any response?
Princess_Taali : Nothing. You?
Mxshaxx_: Same.
Princess_Taali : I really hope she's okay.
Mxshaxx_: Me too.
Mxshaxx_: :(
Mxshaxx_: Hey wanna come over? Saqib said he's gonna have a bunch of meetings and won't be home until later, even though he promised he would take me out for dinner today -_-
Princess_Taali : LOL haha sucks for you :P
Mxshaxx_: Rude. So do you wanna come?
Princess_Taali : Yeah, let me just see if Raza can drop me off.
Mxshaxx_: Saqib's offering to pick you up. He's going to the Masjid with Aasim for Zuhr so he'll drop you here first.
Princess_Taali: Oh kk.
Mxshaxx_: You okay with that?
Princess_Taali: In Sha Allah, I will be.
Mxshaxx_: Yay, okay! I'll go tell Saqib. See you soon habibti, In Sha Allah! :D
Princess_Taali: You too! :)
I turned off my phone and went downstairs to tell my mom. Alhamdulillah I didn't need the wheelchair anymore; I could freely walk around again and I actually missed walking!
"Ammu! Misha invited me over to her house." I said as I entered the living room where my mom was watching TV.
"When are you going?" She asked, looking up from her show.
"She said Saqib and Aasim are going to come pick me up before they head to the Masjid for Zuhr." I explained.
"Alright then, habibti. Remember to take your medicine!" She said as I headed for the stairs.
"Okay!" I replied then went back to my room to get ready.
About half an hour later, I heard the doorbell ring. I put away the book I was reading and checked to make sure my hijab was still on properly before grabbing my purse and heading downstairs. I opened the door to see Aasim standing there.
"Asalamu Alaikum." He smiled.
"Wa Alaikum Asalam. Come in!" I said, opening the door wider and stepping away. He came inside and closed the door after him.
"I just need to grab my jacket. Is it cold outside?" I asked.
"Not really. This winter is said to be a mild one." Aasim said and I nodded, heading for the downstairs closet.
