Taalia's POV~
It was finally time to check into the hospital.
My mom had packed my clothes ahead of time since we came back from Wonderland a little late than planned. I only needed a few clothes, mainly comfortable shirts and sweatpants.
I was terrified of what was to happen after the surgery. Heck, I was terrified of the surgery! How I wished I could skip the surgery and go straight to the recovery part!
But, that just wasn't how life worked.
My surgery was scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Dr. Isaac said it wouldn't take so long, about two hours, to fully perform the operation, but my chances of waking up before the end of tomorrow were narrow.
To say I was scared was a major understatement.
"Taali!!" I heard a voice shout and I knew it was Misha. A few seconds later, she burst through my bedroom door. "I have to hurry up and get to school so I've come to say my goodbyes now." She said and crushed me in a hug.
"Misha, you're acting as if I'm moving away or something." I chuckled.
"You basically are though... to the hospital!" She cried.
"Aww, you gonna miss me?" I teased, pulling away from her.
"Ew no, bye." She said, pretending to be disgusted. "Okay, I'll be coming around in the evening to check on you, InshaAllah. Tomorrow is your actual surgery, right?" She asked.
"Yes, InshaAllah, in the afternoon."
"Okay, then I'll stop by in the morning before school." She said.
"Alright, InshaAllah."
"'Kay, gotta go, the hubby is waiting downstairs to drop me off. I'll see you later, InshaAllah, Asalamu Alaikum!" She smiled as she walked down the stairs. I waved to her and returned her smile.
"Wa Alaikum Asalam!"
"Saqib let's go! Don't go there, she doesn't have her hijab on!" I heard Misha scold him from downstairs.
"Oh oops. Salaam, Taali!" He called up to me.
"Wa Salaam, Saqib!" I called back and peered down a bit so I could see them but they couldn't see me.
"We'll come by later, okay?" He said and I saw Misha roll her eyes.
"I already told her that." She said.
"InshaAllah, please do!" I chuckled.
"Bye, Taali!" Misha said and pulled Saqib out the door while giving salaams to my siblings and mom. After they left, I went back upstairs to pack the remaining of my belongings that I would need for the next only-Allah-knows-how-long.
I went to the hospital with my mom, Sahra, and Raza. Once we arrived, I was checked into a room right away. They did all the final tests and scans and such, in about two hours. After that, they hooked me up to those machines that I ever so hated (mainly because of the needles) and soon I was all settled into my room.
My dad had left work early to be with me longer before the surgery so he would be coming with the rest of my siblings within the next hour or so.
Around Asr time, Misha and Saqib came.
"Taali! Guess what?" Misha said, excitedly. I raised an eyebrow in amusement.
"What?"
"Aasim is being transferred to this hospital!" She cried and for a moment I forgot everything else happening around me. her words rang through my head repeatedly but I snapped out of it when I noticed Misha waving her hands in front of my face. "Girl, you okay?" I nodded and cleared my throat.
