AN: YES MOST OF THE NASHEEDS I LISTEN TO ARE BY MAHER ZAIN. LEAVE ME ALONE.
Taalia's POV~
There were only a few days left until my surgery InshaAllah. I would be checking into the hospital the day before the surgery to do more scans and x-rays. To say that I was scared was an understatement.
I needed to go back to the Masjid. It had been way too long since I've taught the kids. Because of all the commotion with my tumor, the wedding, and Aasim's return, I had been a bit sidetracked. Okay, maybe very sidetracked. I was planning on going with Raza and my dad to pray Zuhr at the Masjid and stay as long as I could. I wanted to teach as many kids as I could before becoming bedridden for who-knows-how-long.
"Taali, it's time to go!" Raza called from downstairs.
"Coming!" I pinned my hijab in place then grabbed my bag and phone.
"Did you take your medicine, habibti?" Ammu asked as I put on my shoes.
"Yes, Ammu, don't worry." I assured.
"Good, now make sure you give us a call when you want to come home, okay? You still need to pack for the hospital." She said.
"InshaAllah I'll be back around Maghrib." I said, kissing her cheek.
"Be careful!" She called as I made my way down the porch steps.
"Okay, Asalamu Alaikum!" I said, waving to her as I got into the backseat.
"Wa Alaikum Asalam!"

"Taalia, here is your new schedule." Imam Maahir said as he handed me the blue piece of paper.
"JazakAllah Khayr." I smiled.
"Wa Iyakum. Now, how long will you be gone for?" He asked.
"I have no idea, sir. But, InshaAllah, once I recover, I'll be back to do full time!" I said.
"InshaAllah, we will be waiting for you." He said, nodding slightly.
"JazakAllah, and give my Salaam to your wife!" I said as I was about to exit the office.
"InshaAllah, Asalamu Alaikum."
"Wa Alaikum Asalam!"
As I walked down the empty hallway, I looked over my schedule for the day. I would be in my regular classroom (which I mentally cheered for) with the classes that I taught on Sundays (which I mentally cheered for again) along with some new classes with a new partner. I was guessing it would be Hadeeqa (which I mentally cheered for). Today was going to be a good day, InshaAllah!
"Asalamu Alaikum." Aasim smiled as I walked in. There were already a few students in the room just talking amongst themselves.
"Wa Alaikum Asalam. You're back!" I said, surprised.
"Why so surprised?" He chuckled.
"Well, I thought you would be busy since you're now a doctor and everything. Mabrook, by the way." I smiled.
"JazakAllah Khayr. And for now, I have time to come back here." He explained.
"I see." I said.
"Well, you're back too." He said. I chuckled.
"Yes, but only for a day, unfortunately."
"Why only a- ooh, nevermind." He said with realization.
"Yeah." I set my things down on my desk and cleared my throat. "So, what's the lesson planned for today?"
"We're going to be discussing a few Hadiths. They're listed here." Aasim handed me a piece of paper and I quickly read over it.
