I wake up and the three of them are sitting by my bed I look to hazel and her grey eyes are glistening, Miles looks worried and keeps turning to see if anyone is behind him lastly I'm looking at Scarlett her eyes are tired and scared. I reach my hand out to her and she grabs it and holds it, she wants to say something but I can tell she doesn't know how.
She's fighting something again
"Scarlett take a deep breath"
"Tell me what's wrong"
"I.. I.. saw Chase"
I lift myself out of bed but fall back and my head hits the pillow, Scarlett holds onto my hands and cries.
"Don't cry for me Scar"
"Dani he"
"Deep breaths"
"He punched Miles"
I look over at Miles and see the bruises,
How did I not notice them before
"Dani I'm fine but Chase is looking for you"
"What's he going to do stab me again?
"I don't know Dani but I'm worried"
"Miles don't be worried"
"Please"
"Hazel" I say
"Yeah Dani"
"Can you feed Buddy for me please"
"I can't sorry my shift doesn't end till tomorrow morning"
"Scarlett and I can do it Dani"
"Thank you give him heaps of cuddles he hasn't had a lot since I've been all over the place lately"
"We will"
"Okay"
They all say goodbye to me and I'm left alone in the room again, The silence floats and my head starts to hurt. I wonder where Hugo ended up, He's incredibly dangerous used a lot of drugs to drown his pain but none of that is my problem well it was a year ago.
