13 years earlier,
10 minutes before the fire in house.

Little Viola was still in her jumpers, she snuck past her parents room. Her sister was sleeping with them.

She shook Soohyun's shoulder.

"Wake up." she whispered lightly.

Soohyun sat on the bed, rubbing her eyes to see her sister standing beside the bed.

"Today is mom's birthday, let's go and get some cake. We can surprise her when she wakes up!" she said excitedly, Soohyun grinned and applauded soundlessly before jumping off of the bed.

Both of them wore their slippers, took the keys to house and exited out without telling anyone.

Who knew an unplanned escape for good, can turn out to be the very first night for worse.

Chapter 29 : The very first night.

"I killed Jean.." uttered Viola.
" ..atleast in my mind I did..." she completed.

Taehyung kept his eyes on the road, but he could not prevent himself from gulping harshly.  Even though he was getting accustomed to all of these secrecy and dirty politics but at the same time, this was confounding him.

"what stopped you?"

Viola peeked a sluggish grin.

"A cake.." she replied in a monotonous voice.

Taehyung felt perplexed.
"huh?"

"Let me paint you a picture here.." she proposed.

"4 years earlier, the night I met Jean, she told me that Beckhum was keeping my sister, and that ... he was the one who killed my family. I was mad, and sad, and out of my mind. I was...just.. not a sane person at that time. I wanted to kill him, Beckhum! and Jean, she had been waiting for someone like me, who would remove the one and only misery from her life..."

Flashback

Viola was standing with her gun aimed on the head of her oppressor, the man who was solely responsible for doing the worst possible things in her life. She never felt the need of pulling a trigger that easily in her life.
