"I think we got everything," I took a step back and looked at the warehouse, seeing it was much cleaner and brighter than when we first got here.

We had gotten rid of all the dust and spider webs before taking down the burlap that was covering the windows. There were some old papers that we got rid of as well as some rusting parts. There was a large scrap bin in the back that we organized before putting them in separate bins.

"Looks a lot better than it did," Odessa said, standing beside me, wrapping her arm around my waist. "Now all we need to do is get word out there that the repair shop is back and running."

"I think they'll know once the door is open more often. The next thing is, we need to find some people who are willing to work along side us."

"I can ask Meri and Geiger. They might know some people as well as to join."

"Well, let's get the trash taken out and I'll close up the door," I grabbed the lock.

Odessa grabbed the box that had all the trash in it and we walked out of the warehouse. I grabbed onto the handle of the sliding door and tried my best to open it up. Odessa grabbed onto it and helped me close it. I put the lock into place and locked it up.

"Thank you for your help, Dez," I said and walked with her to the giant dumpster that was nearby.

"You're welcome, Y/N. Gotta lend a hand wherever now."

After we threw away the trash from the warehouse, we were about to head back to our house, but Odessa grabbed my hand and led me in a different direction.

"Where are we going?"

"I've gotta show ya something," she said.

We walked more towards the center of Junkertown and before I knew it, I was face to face with this large building. It was the largest of them here in the town and it meant one thing: this was where Mason Howl lived when he was the Junker King. Pulling something out of her pocket, Odessa opened up the door and walked in.

"Are ya gonna come in or stand there like a bump on a log?" she chuckled, a smile appearing on her face.

I walked into the large home and saw there was a big entry way. To the left was a nice place where people could gather and to the right was a bigger kitchen than what we had. There were stairs in the back of the entry way that led to a hallway. There were a few doors that I could see, but the hallway extended both ways so there could be more rooms that I couldn't see.

"Dez, why didn't we move in here?" I asked.

"It's like I said before, Y/N," she said and stood beside me. "I don't care for the place Mason once lived. I'd rather live a bit of a humble life with ya in a smaller house. Besides, I'd get lost in here. But I do need to come in here every so often to get some work done."

"Right, you do have a duty to this town."

"I do, but I still have a duty to ya, Y/N," she looked down at me. "That's why I want to live back in the place we have. It'll remind me of the times where I held ya for comfort out in the Wastelands."

I chuckled, looking into her amber eyes, "Where would I be without ya, Dez?"

"Back in the Wastelands," she snickered, scrunching up her nose before leaning over to peck my cheek. "But there is this one room I want to show ya."

She walked up the stairs and I followed after her. When we reached the top, she turned to the right and walked down the long hallway. There was a steel door that had a large lock on the handle. She unlocked it and opened up the door, revealing all the gold, jewels, all the treasure Mason had ever owned.

"That explains why he had the best of the best," I said.

"Well, now," she turned and looked at me. "It's all ours."

"Don't ya mean all yours?"

"Why would it be all mine when I can share it with someone?" she asked.

"You were the one to win the Reckoning, so all of this should technically be yours."

"It is, but I want to share it with ya," she reached down and took my hand. "While I do have all of this stuff, nothing compares to what ya give me, Y/N."

Some blush crawled onto my cheeks as I giggled like a child, resting my head against her arm, "S-Stop flattering me, Dez."

She chuckled and pressed a kiss to my forehead, "But it's the truth. Nothing here means anything to me. You're the best treasure of all."

Some tears filled my eyes as I wrapped my arms around Odessa. She reached down and lifted me up, wrapping her arms around my waist. My arms wrapped around her neck and my legs found their place around her waist. I silently cried in her shoulder as she closed the door and headed into a different room. She sat down and ran her hands up and down my back as she whispered into my ear.

"I love you, princess."

That got me crying even more as I held onto her tightly. Her one hand found its place in my hair and started to entangle her fingers into my H/C locks while the other was left rubbing my back. I pulled away and wiped the tears from my face. I smiled down at her, her amber eyes meeting mine.

"I love you too, Dez," I said, placing a light kiss to her lips.

When I pulled away, I finally realized that she was sitting down on a throne and I was on her lap.

"A-Are ya sure this is ok?"

"What?" she asked.

"M-Me on your lap?"

"Ya don't like it?" she smirked, raising an eyebrow.

"N-N-No, I-I just don't know if I am making ya uncomfortable.

"Deary," she smiled at me, running the pads of her fingers across my exposed skin. "Ya weigh like nothing to me. So this isn't uncomfortable."

"Good," I said, wrapping my hands around the back of her neck, my thumbs landing on her cheeks. "Because I can get used to this."

"I can as well," she said and pressed a kiss to my lips.

"Besides," I said once we parted. "It's the best seat in the house."
