"Up and at 'em, champ!" I heard Odessa yell early in the morning, swinging the back door open and walking into my room.

She sat down on the edge of my bed and moved a few strands of hair away from my face, her hand resting on my cheek.

"Wake up, Y/N," she said and pressed a kiss to my forehead. "I've got exciting news."

"What is it?" I mumbled, slowly sitting up and rubbing my eyes to be met with her amber eyes, my heart beginning to flutter.

"There's gonna be a Reckoning," she smiled.

"There is?!" I asked.

"Yep. Happening soon and I'm going to be in it."

"T-That's great! Are ya nervous?"

"Nervous? Ha!" she threw her head back. "The one who has to be nervous, is Mason Howl himself."

"Let's get going then," I said.

I got up, grabbed my swords and Odessa led me out of the house. She grabbed Carnage, made sure her knife was in its spot, and picked up her gun that was lying on the workbench. She raised Carnage up and placed it on her shoulder and together we walked towards the gates of Junkertown. Even from within the walls, I could hear the clamor of people getting excited for the Reckoning. When the gatekeepers saw us, they opened up the gates and I followed Odessa to the arena.

"It's going to be a while before it starts," she said as she sat down in the quarters where they led her.

"Get some rest," I said. "You're going to need it before you head into the fight."

She nodded, "If I don't wake up before it starts, wake me up."

"I will," I said and watched as she swung her feet upwards and laid down on the bench.

I leaned over and placed a kiss on her cheek, "Rest well, Dez."

Some time had passed and someone banged on the door of where we were. I got up and walked over and opened it up, seeing it was someone who was from the town.

"Reckoning is gonna be startin' soon. Better get preparing," he looked me up and down.

"Got it," I said and closed the door, walking over to Odessa.

I sat beside her and was about to wake her up, but she jolted upwards, looking around and breathing heavily.

"Dez, a-are ya alright?" I asked.

"Just another bad dream," she whispered, getting ready. "But that's not going to stop me."

She got up, grabbed what she needed, and walked towards the doors that led to the arena. I followed behind her, but before the doors opened up, she turned and faced me.

"Ya better head out there to get a good view."

"I'll stand right here and watch ya. That way when ya win, I'll be the first to congratulate ya."

She smiled and pulled me into a hug.

"Go get 'em, Dez."

Pulling away, I pulled her down to my level and placed a kiss on her lips. She smiled into the kiss and pulled away after a few secons.

"I will," she said, the doors opening and she winked at me before leaving.

I stood by the gates and watched as she faced the crowd. They were booing her because of who she was. It made my blood boil, but it disappeared as I watched who her opponents were. They were from the Tinkers, Meri and Geiger. Mason appeared in the middle and addressed everyone. And before I knew it, Odessa was off to fighting Meri and Geiger. That bastard knew what he was doing and made those two do his dirty work while he sat on his ass watching.

"Come on, Dez!" I yelled as Meri hit her, causing her to slid along the floor.

"Let's get this started," I heard her say and her gun flew towards the magnet on her arm.

She pushed herself upwards and grabbed Carnage, fighting Geiger first. She shot off his robotic arm, but a blade appeared on his other arm and he went to go drive it into her body. Using the bottom part of her boot, she stopped the blade. Geiger released the blade and it shot out. She moved her head and the blade lodged into the wall behind her.

"You know how to fight dirty," she said, punching him away to grab Carnage.

She swung upwards and using the side of the axe, smacked Geiger across the face, sending him flying and landing on the ground. Turning her attention to Mason, she threw Gracie and it lodged into the chair that he sat on, almost hitting him in the crotch. Meri came up behind her and smacked her into the other wall.

"G'day, Meri," Odessa said and moved aside, dodging Meri's incoming attack.

She opened up her left hand, the magnet opening and Gracie flew towards her hand. Meri came back in to attack, but she lodged both Gracie and Carnage into the saw blades that Meri had, causing it to stall. Odessa moved aside while Meri removed them, shooting metal spikes towards her.

"Like you'd be any better."

Grabbing a sheet of metal nearby with her magnet, she used it as a shield, protecting herself. Meri grabbed onto the metal and shoved Odessa into the ground. I watched as Mason sat down in his mech and grabbed onto the handles, moving his gun to where Meri and Odessa were.

"At least I won't shoot my friends in the back."

Meri looked over her shoulder to see Mason was charging his gun. Odessa pushed the metal sheet into Meri's face and rolled out of the way. Mason shot his gun at Meri and Odessa lifted her gun, winked at Meri, and then moved it upwards, shooting at Mason's mech.

"Wastelander scum!" Mason yelled, jumping down from the center of the arena. "Why won't you just die?!"

"Because we're stronger than you," she picked up Carnage and threw it at Mason's mech, lodging it into the missle launcher.

"You haven't had a real fight in thirteen years," she charged towards Mason's mech, jumping onto it and removing Carnage, raising it high into the air and slammed it down onto the glass protecting him. "We had them every bloody day!"

"I am the King," Mason gritted his teeth, igniting a flame thrower, trying to burn Odessa, but she jumped off the mech, only catching some of her hair on fire. "I own everyone here!"

Odessa reached up and put out the fire that was on her hair, "Not in this arena." The magnet on her arm opened up, summoning the scrap pieces of metal.

But something was off. The large cylinder in the middle started to hum and a blue light appeared from it, causing the arena to turn dark for a bit. Odessa was dragged towards it and her magnet was stuck to the cylinder. She tried to remove the gauntlet from it, but it just pulled her right back. Geiger flew towards the bigger magnet and so did Meri, but she used her grappling hook to hand onto the edge. Scrap pieces of metal were flying all over the place, being attracted by the magnet. A sheet of metal came flying towards Geiger, but Odessa moved him aside and she got hit with it. Kneeling onto the ground, it left her open for attack.

"Dez!" I yelled.
