"Will your parents even like me?" Jay asked as I was helping her get ready.

"They'll love ya," Odessa said as she walked out of the bathroom. "If they can handle me, they can handle ya."

"Dez does have a point. She was a fiesty one and a bit of an intrusive one when we were training together. Every mornin' I'd hear 'wake up, champ!' 'champ, time to get up!' 'up and at 'em!'" I chuckled.

Odessa laughed, "Ya could have told me to stop."

"I enjoyed hearing your loud voice in the mornin'," I smiled at Odessa as she walked over to me, placing a kiss on my forehead.

"Apparently ya do, since ya get to hear it every day," she wrapped her arms around me, looking at us in the mirror.

"You two show more affection that my mother and father ever did," Jay said.

"The difference between relationships," Odessa chuckled, kissing my cheek.

"They were somewhat of an arranged marriage," Jay said.

"How can ya be somewhat of an arranged marriage?" I asked.

"Yeah. It's either ya fall in love or you're in an arranged marriage."

"Well, my mother fell in love with my father before my grandmother told my mother she was getting an arranged marriage. My mother hid the fact from my father until it was three days before the wedding. My mother told my grandmother, which caused her to get upset for not telling her earlier. So the man who was supposed to be married to my mother was informed and then my mother married my father. While my mother was intended to be married off to someone else, she was married off to my father in a somewhat of arranged marriage."

"I see," I said.

"That's way too confusing," Odessa said.

"How did you two meet?" Jay asked.

"We were both banished to the Wastelands by Mason," I said. "I lived most of my time there as a scrapper, finding parts in the junkyards and getting beaten everyday because of the lucrative parts I found. Odessa found me one night when a group of boys were beating the shit outta me. She fought them off and from there, we became friends."

"But I knew she was in to me way before she confessed," Odessa chuckled.

"It was true. Apparently my feelings were obvious to others."

"Very obvious."

"If ya knew, why didn't ya tell her?" Jay asked Odessa.

"We were both thirteen," she replied.

"I thought it was just admiration for Odessa, but it wasn't. It was much more than that."

"Now come on, we're gonna be late," Odessa said, taking my hand.

Jay walked out of the entry way and the door. Odessa was the last one so she locked the door. We made our way over to the last balcony, in which all three of us jumped over, landing on the ground. At first, Jay questioned why we did that and not take the stairs, but after she did it a few times, she grew to understand why we liked doing that more. We reached the gates and the guards opened them up for us. We walked out into the harsh sands as it didn't make friends with anyone. No one could tame the wild winds and burning sand when it touched any part of open skin. Odessa grabbed my hand and we walked towards my house, Jay walking beside us.

"This is the Wastelands?" Jay asked.

"Yeah. Not fun, right?" I asked.

"This is hell."

"That's what we thought," Odessa and I said.

We walked over the same sand dune I had gotten used to. Seeing my old home, a bittersweet smile appeared on my face. I made sure Jay was ok with walking up the sand dune while Odessa walked up it to see my father was sitting outside. He turned his head and smiled.

"Odessa," he said, slowly standing up.

"Mr. L/N," she said and helped him up.

"How are ya, my dear?"

"Doin' fine, sir."

"Y/N, how are ya?" my father asked, hugging me when I reached him.

"Doin' fine," I said.

"Who's this?" my father asked.

"Is mom inside?"

"Yeah. Come on in."

We walked inside, greeted my mother, and we sat down. Before we introduced Jay to them, we informed them of what happened with the baby Odessa fought to protect. They were confused why another person at Overwatch wanted to care of the child. Then we told them about the process we went through, in which didn't end in the way we wanted to and the look on their faces made me want to cry once more just thinking back on it. Odessa reached over and took my hand, holding onto it tightly.

"Unfortunately, Jay, who lived in Junkertown, her parents disowned her because of who she is," I said.

My mother looked over at Jay and just by looking at how she wanted to dress, she knew what I meant.

"You're like Y/N and Odessa, Jay, aren't ya?" my mother asked.

"Yes."

My mother smiled, "You're in good hands with them. Thankfully they both came from families that loved them for who they are. Flaws, differences, and all. And I can imagine the relief ya had when they said they'd take ya in."

"I was overjoyed to know I was in a safe place. Not only that, but," Jay looked over at the two of us as we smiled at her. "But to know I was in safe hands."

"Well if ya ever want to venture out into the Wastelands, you're more than welcome to come here, Jay," my father said.

"I must bring up the question, Y/N," my mother said.

"Yes?"

"Since Jay was disowned by her parents, are you two going to be her parents now?"

"We're getting that worked out as we speak," I said.

"But Odessa is the queen," my father said.

"Sometimes I forget I can do stuff like that," Odessa chuckled. "Yes, we're going to be her parents from now on. If that's ok with Jay."

We all looked over at her. Jay looked in between all of us. She smiled nervously for being put on the spot like this. I reached over and placed my hand on top of hers, smiling sweetly at her, slowly nodding my head. Jay took in a deep breath and looked over at Odessa and I.

"I'd love to have ya as my parents."

"Then consider it official, Jay. You're part of the Stone L/N family," Odessa said.
