After we spent some time with Odessa's family and having her siblings get acquainted with Jay, which was fun to watch them get along. They were running around in the sand, trying to tag one another. We informed Odessa's mother of the situation we had about the child Odessa saved and the child we tried to have together. Her mother was a bit confused with the second situation, but after I explained how it worked her mother started to understand it a bit more. When the sun was starting to set, the three of us headed back to the gates of Junkertown. When we reached the gates, they opened up and we walked back into the town, the gates closing behind us.
"Enjoy meetin' everyone today, Jay?" I asked.
"It was. It was nice to know both of your families support you and supported your decision to adopt me as your own," Jay said.
"Even if I saw ya on the streets, you'd be under our protection," Odessa said. "So there was no need to worry about findin' a place to stay."
"I'm very grateful for you, Odessa," Jay said. "If Mason was still King, he'd probably throw me out."
"No need to worry about him anymore, Jay," Odessa smiled, wrapping her arm around Jay's shoulder, bringing her close. "You're with us."
Just as we were about to walk back to our house, Jay's parents walked past us. She stopped, her heart ready to burst right out of her chest. Her parents turned and faced us. As soon as her father stepped towards her, she immediately cowered in fear.
"Love, take Jay back to the house. Make sure she's safe," Odessa said. "I gotta deal with some nasty people."
I nodded, "Don't be too rash, Dez."
"I'll try my best, but," Odessa crossed her arms in front of her chest, lifting her head up to where she has to look down at them, although she did that with the majority of the people here. "I make no promises."
"Come on, Jay," I said, wrapping my arms around her, leading her back to the house.
"You're always going to be nothing but a disgrace, Jay!" her mother called after us.
"Oi!" Odessa barked, getting their attention. "If ya want to call people that, might as well look in the mirror."
"Are ya ok, Jay?" I asked her as we walked up the stairs instead of jumping onto the lowest balcony.
"N-Not really."
"Did they do anything to ya?"
"C-Can I explain more once Odessa comes back?"
"Of course."
"Have us look in the mirror?" her father asked. "Maybe you and your wife should."
"We do. And we admire the love we have for one another. Maybe you two should try it."
"Why would we?" her mother asked.
"Because maybe then you can see how amazing your daughter is. Amazing for who she is."
"She's not one of us," her father sneered.
"You're right, she's not one of you. She's not a prejudice person who will immediately change how she views a person the second their true selves come out," I said, snapping my fingers. "But the minute she decided she was comfortable with herself, ya had to make it worse. That is one thing you cannot do to your own child. To your own flesh and blood."
"She's not ours anymore," her mother said.
"You're right. She's ours," I said and walked off. "And if I ever see ya try to lay a hand on her," I took my thumb and ran it across my neck, mimicking the sound of someone dying.
Coming through the door was Odessa. Jay and I were sitting on the couch when she came in. She kicked the door closed and she walked over to us, sitting on the chair beside me.
"Jay wants to tell us something," I said.
"What's the matter?" Odessa asked.
"When I came out to my parents, before they threw me out, they beat me. Both my mother and father."
"Gives me all the more reason to kick 'em out," Odessa said.
"Are ya sure that's a good idea?" Jay asked.
"I'm the Queen," Odessa smirked. "What are they gonna do? Whine about it?"
Jay chuckled, "I appreciate ya doin' that for me. But they're still my parents."
"We understand how hard it's going to be to detach yourself from them, but we're going to do everything we can to help ya," I said, placing my hand on Jay's leg.
"If ya need anything, Jay, please don't hesitate to let us know," Odessa said.
Jay smiled, "Thanks, guys."
We hugged her before she headed down to the house beside us. We waved goodnight to her before heading into our house.
"Alright, I need a shower after being in the Wastelands again," Odessa said. "Care to join me, princess?"
"I may," I said, winking at her.
After I got finished up in the shower, I grabbed one of Odessa's shirts and threw it over my body. I fell onto the bed, my back facing the ceiling and my stomach against the mattress. Closing my eyes, I heard Odessa banging around in the bathroom before she opened up the door, walking over to the bed. She removed the blankets and wrapped her arms around my waist, placing her head on my back. Moving upwards a bit, she moved my wet hair aside and placed her lips against the back of my neck. She gave it a few pecks before burying her face in the crook of my neck.
"Odessa," I let out a breathy moan.
"Ya look good in my shirt," she chuckled, her hand running up from the opening, the pads of her fingers trailing up and down my bare stomach.
"Oh, Odessa," I let out, turning to where we were on our sides, giving her access to my chest.
She reached up and squeezed at one of my breasts, causing me to moan a bit. However, it didn't last long. She removed her hand from underneath the shirt and wrapped her arms around me, burying her face in my back.
"Y/N?"
"Yes, Dez?"
"I want to thank ya for everything you've done for me. Everything ya taught me, everything ya will teach me, and everything in between. I want to thank ya for letting Jay be part of this family."
I smiled, my hand reaching behind me, running it through her wet hair.
"You're welcome, Dez," I said.
She moved her head to where I could see those beautiful amber eyes of hers. The one thing about her that made me fall head over heels for her when we were in the Wastelands. She leaned over and pressed a long, loving kiss to my lips. Pulling away, she placed her forehead against mine, causing me to turn and face her.
"I love ya, Y/N."
"I love you, too, Dez," I smiled, pecking her lips.
She reached up and removed her lip ring before roughly placing hers against mine, pushing me onto the bed. After she pulled away, she placed her lips against my neck, trailing up and down my neck.
"Odessa," I breathed out.
"Let me show ya my love tonight, princess," she said in between kisses, her one hand on my thigh while the other was trailing underneath the shirt I was wearing. "If ya let me, of course."
"Always, my queen."
