"Well I'll be damned," my father chuckled, smiling at us. "How long has it been, Queen of Junkertown?"
"Far too long," Odessa smiled.
"Honey, Y/N is here! She brought a friend."
My mother walked out of the house and put her hands over her mouth, finally seeing Odessa in such a long time. She walked over to her and hugged her as if she was her own daughter. Well, she was eventually going to be.
"We were all worried sick when Y/N came to tell us the news ya left and haven't returned since the last time she visited," my mother said, pulling away to get a good look at Odessa. "My, ya've changed quite a bit since the last time we saw ya."
"It was for the better, I believe," she smiled.
"Well come in, come in. Dear, do ya have to do that now?" my mother asked my father.
"I'll be in soon," he said.
We walked into the house, following behind my mother. We sat down at the couch and she brought over some glasses of water for us.
"So tell me everything that has happened. Ya got pretty banged up, didn't ya?" my mother noticed the scars on her arms and abdomen.
"Couldn't really avoid that," she chuckled.
"But still, ya gotta be more careful than that."
"I will do my best from now on. Now, I just gotta make sure no one acts out of hand in Junkertown."
"Y/N has done her best to make sure it didn't go to shambles when ya left," my father stepped inside the house, sitting down in the chair my grandfather used to sit in. "I think she did a fine job."
Odessa looked over at me and smiled, "She sure did a hell of a job. But, we've got some news to pass along."
"Is that what I think it is?" my mother asked, looking at my hand.
Some blush crawled onto my cheeks as she took my hand, examening the ring Odessa had given me. While she was gone, I wore it here and there, but when I came out here by myself, I would take it off to ensure it was safe. Odessa looked over, her smile that was already on her face was widening.
"You bet," she said, wrapping her arm around my waist. "Your daughter and I are getting married."
"That's wonderful news!" my mother said, hugging me. "I'm so happy for ya both."
"We're going to be sending more information about it, so look forward to an invitation hand delivered," I said.
"And," Odessa said.
"And?" my mother asked.
"There's more?" my father asked. "L-Let your mother calm down before ya tell her the other news. I fear she might have a heart attack."
"Would ya like to tell her, Y/N?" Odessa looked over at me.
"Mum, please tell me you won't freak out?"
"I make no promises, Y/N."
"Well, remember how we talked about wanting kids?"
"Yes." She gasped loudly, "Are ya going to have kids?"
"When Odessa was in Overwatch, she had to help this family out. Unfortunately, they lost their lives, all except their infant child. The mother told Odessa to take care of the child before she died."
"So Y/N and I are going to raise the child," Odessa said.
My mother squealed and hugged me tightly, "I'm gonna be a grandmother!"
All of us laughed as my mother jumped up and skipped around the house, repeating that she was going to be a grandmother. When she calmed down, we said our goodbyes and headed down to Odessa's house. She opened the door and her siblings dropped what they were doing and almost tackled her out of the door.
"Dez!" they all yelled as they hugged her. "You're back!"
Her mother walked by and dropped what she was holding, her jaw wide open as she walked over to Odessa.
"D-Dez, is that you?" she asked.
"It's me, mum," she said, walking closer to her mother.
Odessa pulled her mother into the giant group hug as they all started to cry, finally able to see their family member return home after not being there in such a long time. When Odessa left for Overwatch, I told them what was going on and I always informed them if I heard anything, which meant visits were never there since I never heard anything. Her mother looked over at me and held out her hand. I shook my head, but Odessa turned and grabbed me, dragging me into the hug.
"You're practically family, Y/N," her mother said.
"About that, mum," Odessa said and pulled away.
"What's the matter?"
"Y/N and I," she grabbed my hand, holding onto it tightly, yet gently. "We're getting married."
"Oh, Dez," her mother smiled.
Her siblings pulled away from the hug to allow their mother to hug Odessa by herself. She hugged me when she pulled away and smiled at the both of us.
"I'm so happy for the two of ya. You two deserve nothing but the best from one another."
"And we will be givin' ya an invitation in person," I mentioned.
"While I was gone at Overwatch, there was an incident that happened in resulting a slaughter of a family. Fortunately, their infant was the only survivor. Y/N and I decided to become the parents of her," Odessa said.
"Dez, while that's really sad to hear that a family was killed, it's a miracle that the child survived and will be placed in your hands," her mother looked between the two of us. "Once ya have the child, ya best bring 'er out 'ere."
"We'll do our best, but with the harsh conditions," I began.
"No worries," her mother smiled. "I completely understand."
We talked for a bit before we walked out of the house. But before we left, Odessa grabbed the keys to the motorcycle and instead of walking back to Junkertown, we drove back in style. We got back into the town and Meri and Geiger were waiting for us. That was never a good sign.
"Meri? Geiger? Is something wrong?" Odessa asked.
"Your office building."
"What about it?" her tone getting angry.
"We saw someone sneak in and then sneak out with some of the gold."
Odessa got off of the motorcycle, grabbing Carnage and cocking her gun, "Did ya see who they were?"
"Junkrat and Roadhog."
