Ruhani POV
I woke up early the next day. I found myself sleeping in his embrace with both my legs over his and his hand over my waist.
I stretched my arms above my head and looked at his sleeping face. He looked relaxed and I remembered that I had to continue my investigation along with spending time with our grandmother.
I quickly got up from the bed, parted the curtains, and walked towards the couch to wear my nightgown.
Retiring myself to the bathing room, I got ready quickly but in a lehnga today. As the grandmother asked me to wear one today. I chose a simple bright yellow pair of them which had dark maroon velvet borders on the dupatta. Elegant.
I chose the light jewelry today as I got extremely tired yesterday with heavy jewels.
I looked at my revealing waist and back in the Lehnga.
Ahhh Nandani.
At last, I placed the dupatta over my head and settled it neatly.
After getting ready, I went to the Library first. As it was early morning the starting of the day would take a little longer and I could use this time to read the histories.
I spent a major time in the Library reading the history of the year of his Father's death and the spread of the disease in the main village of Sultanate. Especially the villages from where the soldiers were recruited.
The one thing that caught my attention was the wedding of his Parents. It was written that his mother and his aunt (Mother's sister) were married at the same time, just a few months gaps. That means his mother and Rabia's mother married in the same year. And, when his father first went to see his bride in their Empire, he met the Sultan of Ayzal Sultanate, which means Rabia's father. Who happened to come to see his bride also.
And, it was said that he liked Princess Aiza to wed. But, she chose Ibrahim Khan as a Sultan. That means Rabia's father liked Aashiq's mother to wed.
I immediately closed the book as my whole body shivered with fear.
Had Sultan ever read this history?
The impossible possibilities started blurring my vision and the wildest one was the possibility of revenge on Rabia's father with Ibrahim Sultan.
"Begum,"
Suddenly the voice of Shaheen caught my attention and I looked in her direction.
I gulped nervously coming out of the fear running through my mind.
"Sultan's grandmother is asking for you,"
I nodded and asked where was Sultan.
"He is getting ready for the court's meeting,"
I nodded and asked her to pass me a pen and paper.
I immediately wrote down a letter for Sultan and asked Shaheen to keep it safe in my Chamber.
Meanwhile, I hid all the papers in the Library and went to meet Sultan's grandmother.
Wait!
Sultan's grandmother was here which means she could help me know about Sultan's wedding even more.
"Begum,"
But, suddenly an attendee stopped me midways and informed me.
"Begum, Sultan is asking for you,"
I nodded and changed my way to my chamber.
I stepped into my chamber and looked at Sultan holding the letter. Shaheen was standing in the corner giving me a look that he found out.
