Arc 4 Chapter 41: Pheromones

3rd Person POV:

The both of them just stared at each other's eyes like this for a long time. If somebody were inside this room with them, they would want to leave immediately.

They got forced out of their little world once Noah's sister came back. Both of them then went back to doing their own things with a blush on their faces.

The remainder of the time flowed fast and so, the day was over in the blink of an eye. At least, Noah felt like it went fast.

But he didn't mind it. They would see each other again on their 'date', so he wasn't in a hurry. Since it was Tuesday, it was still enough time to work on other tasks, such as finding friends.

He didn't really know where to start though, since he never had any real friends to begin with. He never had one as Edwin and he had a vague feeling that he as Lemuel never made new friends even after getting together with Adonis.

So he did the only thing he could think of after knowing that even his system couldn't help him; he asked his sister of this world.

"Are you sure...?", she asked with a worried face. She knew that her brother absolutely didn't like talking to strangers. And there's his problem with touching people that also made her worry.

"Yes.. I must start getting better for me to live comfortably with Barke...", he answered a bit shyly but nevertheless determined.

Milan almost cried on the spot hearing his words and looking at his face, which showed his determination. She felt relieved and grateful. Her baby brother was starting to really grow up.

But then she thought of that despicable person that could threaten his happiness and controlled her expression before she could show anything on her face.

Even if she had to get imprisoned in the end for killing that b*stard, she would never let this beast ruin the happiness they found in this life! Of course, that was only if her other plans were to fail.

She once again hardened her resolve while teaching her brother how to get closer to other people. She could only teach what she heard and read herself, but it was still better than nothing.

They spend a few hours per day discussing this in the evening for the next few days.

During the day, Milan would work while Noah would paint to his hearts content.

And so, the days flew by and the week slowly advanced.

He didn't get to start on his plan to make friends just yet once Saturday came, but he already had a plan, at least. Right now, he 'slowly' started going out a bit more and greeting the strangers in the neighborhood. It was a rich neighborhood but not too overwhelmingly so.

The people living there were, at most, Niveau-Rich.

One day before the date, he and his sister went to buy clothes together. He didn't know how she has that much energy, but once they got home, he didn't have any energy left for anything else and went straight to bed, while his sister stayed awake.

On the promised day, Noah ran back and forth while getting ready, and due to the nervousness of both him and his sister, they didn't quite realise that the scent of Jasmine on Noah was a bit stronger today than normal.

At the promised time, the doorbell rang. Noah said bye to his sister and ran outside. Nobody realised something off, not even Barke. He just thought the scent was a bit stronger because they stood closer together.

They spend a fun time together. They went to the cinema and watched a movie, then they went bowling. It was a fun day for the both of them and they both laughed a lot.
