Norman has an accent that is very strange for me to type (Southern, specifically Texan), so some words such as "hit" are spelled without the accent or else it'll be like "he-it"
What a lovely Halloween day, school was out and children frolicked around for candy. More or less children's laughter filled the air as they knocked on doors, asking for the sugary treat. Children were also robbed of their sweets by the strong and given the sugary goodness by the kind. It was all in perfect balance. Except for one thing, specifically two souls.
A young boy with green eyes stared out the window, dressed in all black with a demon mask and tail. He didn't shift when his mother walked in, offering candy wordlessly. The boy declined, and the mother dismissed it. She was surprised when her son suddenly jumped with joy and rushed out the door.
Looking out the window, he saw two boys in costumes on the other side of the road. A sandy blonde with a blue bow dressed as a far more child friendly Frankenstien, and a boy with dark brown hair and yellow goggles as a scientist. Her son ran up to them, chatting excitedly.
As the boy chatted with the currently silent boys, the mother walked up to them with a tablet, raising it up. The son saw and recognized that she was about to take a picture, as he smiled wide while one friend glared at the camera and the other smiled softly.
Her son pointed forward, exclaiming "Lets go!" before his friends started marching forward. He turned around one time to wave goodbye at his mother.
"Love you! Wally, stay safe!" she called back, waving her hand. She looked back at the picture taken on the tablet lovingly, before a small frown decorated her face. She was worried.

Last Halloween
Wally walked slowly to his house, small rips along his vampire costume and a black eye. He looked up at the paper on his front door, plucking it from its spot to read.
"Went out for groceries, help yourself to some snacks!"
Wally looked up hopefully, eager for a good note on this horrible day. Today, he was one of the kids robbed of his candy, made fun of for his costume as well as they pried his fangs from his mouth and tore apart his cape. They left him with only three pieces of candy.
The young boy tried the door, before lowering it in disappointment. Locked.
Sitting down on the front steps, he crumpled his paper and threw it to the side, a sigh leaving his lips. He looked forward to the kids on the other side of the street, walking past from house to house or stopping for candy. Sure there were some standing there but two caught his eye.
A sandy blonde with a blue ribbon in a frankenstein costume who would every now and again itch a blue handkerchief around their ankle, and a taller boy with yellow goggles and dressed as a scientist with an interesting scar around their wrist.
Wally's eyes lit up. They weren't familiar, maybe they were new in town? Wally ran over to them, before tapping the blonde in the shoulder. Catching him by surprise, the blonde swung around and hit him with the pail he possessed, the other grabbing his shoulders to stop him.
"Sammy! We don' hit others! Ah'm terribly sorry 'bout this," The taller boy said with an apologetic smile as he revealed a distinctive accent that Wally vaguely recognized, the one called Sammy giving a huff. Wally rubbed his cheek slightly, before seeing their baskets. They were empty.
Pity taking over his system, he reached into his bag and fished out two candies, before handing it to the boys.
"Have some candy!" he offered. The boy donning the goggles looked down, before saying that Wally would have only one. Yet he insisted.
