Jasmin frowned down at the body of one of the dead bodies.
"How did you kill them all?" Sundew growled. "No- how did you appear out of thin air?"
"Why are these dragons chasing you?" Jasmin asked drily. "And if you need to know, I have plenty of fighting experience. More than you, I should say."
Before Sundew could snap an indignant retort at her, the hybrid added, "Now, do you know where I can stay before getting back to my home?"
"Where I'm staying, but I can't trust you yet," The green dragon hissed. "And that's all I know."
"So, I'm guessing you don't live here," Jasmin commented airily. "But don't you owe me something? I just saved your pitiful life, and again, I could have killed you, and I still could, but I didn't, didn't I? Or I could have helped those other dragons."
"Hmph." Sundew still looked reluctant. "But if you touch a single-"
"Okay, I won't hurt whatever strange things you have in your base," Jasmin interrupted impatiently. "Just tell me where it is."
After Sundew directed her to the camouflaged cave she was staying in, Jasmin left to search for it. She finally found the moss, vine and seaweed pattern in front of a carefully camouflaged cave entrance. Cautiously pushing the plants aside, the hybrid stepped inside.
She heard a muffled squeak, and Jasmin saw a small golden-yellow dragonet with black splotches looking, terrified, at her. Her glasses were trembling, along with her entire body.
"Who are you?" Jasmin asked tiredly.
"You can't- you won't hurt-" The dragonet stammered.
"You aren't very intimidating." Jasmin saw that she had four bee-like wings, just like Swordtail and Luna's attackers. "Three moons, did Sundew send me into a trap? Because this is going to be the shortest fight I'm going to be in. Didn't she just see me in battle?"
"You know Sundew?" The golden dragon asked, her hazel-brown eyes glinting with interest. All her fright seemed to have washed away.
"She told me to come here," Jasmin glanced around and saw that the strange dragon was standing over a large, golden-ish object. "What's that? And who are you?"
"Oh," The other dragon perked up. "That's Blue. I mean, inside his cocoon, of course. But he's in there. His Metamorphosis just started. And I'm Cricket. Who are you? Should I be afraid of you? Why did Sundew send you here? How do you know about her? Did you see Luna and Swordtail?"
"His what?" Jasmin blinked at all the questions, then decided to ask about her first statement.
"Oh, you aren't from around here?" Cricket blinked. "Wait- you're not a SilkWing! Are you from the Distant Kingdoms?"
It seemed like it would be a long day.
