Jasmin heard the sounds of talking when she woke up. She was slightly confused when she didn't wake up next to Moon or Kinkajou or Qibli or Winter or Turtle.
Then she remembered that she was in Pantala.
"...gained conscious," That was Sundew. Jasmin opened her eyes and found herself in the large cave with Cricket and the LeafWing.
Someone was pacing through the cave, his dark blue and orange flecked with white triangles.
"Hello," Cricket turned around to look at her. "You're awake! This is Swordtail."
"I know," Jasmin informed. "He's the dragon who was abandoned the fight."
"But- Luna-" Swordtail stammered.
"Hm. You're still here," Sundew scowled at Jasmin.
"Yes." Jasmin nodded. "I can leave right now, if you want."
"Wait! Don't go!" Cricket pleaded, blocking her path as Jasmin headed out the cave. The hybrid hissed as she almost slammed into the HiveWing. "Tell me about the Distant Kingdoms! Please?"
"Okay," Jasmin growled. "The first thing you need to know is that I don't like being touched. The second thing to know is that you need to calm down."
"Yup. Definitely. Got it," Cricket sat down, her tail thumping the ground eagerly. "Go on, please."
"Fine." Jasmin thought for a minute. "The Distant Kingdoms, as you call it, is called Pyrrhia. And there are seven tribes."
"Seven?" Swordtail also gained interest of her story.
"Yes," Jasmin confirmed. "There are the SandWings, SkyWings, SeaWings, IceWings, RainWings, MudWings, and...the NightWings." She scowled as she remembered the tribe that kidnapped the RainWings and killed her father.
"Why-" Cricket interrupted.
"So, the SandWings have a tail-barb and scales any shade of yellow," Jasmin ignored her, then shimmered into her SandWing form. Sundew narrowed her eyes, but said nothing. "They can survive without food and water for a long time, and their scales radiate with warmth. SkyWings..."
After explaining about all the tribes, the War of SandWing Succession, and all the queens and palaces, Cricket and Swordtail started asking questions about herself.
"Well, you probably know I'm a hybrid because I just told you," Jasmin began. "I'm a SandWing-RainWing hybrid. And the NightWings killed Coyote."
"Oh no!" Cricket gasped.
"He was my father," Jasmin explained bitterly. "And I was trained by a NightWing, out of all the tribes. And his name was Deathbringer."
That, or course, caused Cricket to ask her what the NightWing had trained her for.
