Cricket, Swordtail, and Blue followed Sundew to a place with nests woven with twigs and leaves, decorated with different patterns and flowers. Jasmin shot one last venomous look at the LeafWing who'd tried to grab her before following them.

"Bryony and Pokeweed aren't here," Sundew explained. "Swordtail, Blue, you can take Pokeweed's nest. Cricket, Jasmin, and Bumblebee can take Bryony's."

"Um, I shouldn't really be with day-old dragonet?" Jasmin said. "Poisonous tail-barb? Extremely deadly claustrophobia? A knife that can give you third-degree burns?"

"We can change it around a bit," Blue offered. "I can go with Cricket. You can stay with Swordtail."

Jasmin wrinkled her snout. "I guess that's fine. I'm feeling a bit tired; I'll sleep for a bit. Maybe Qibli will talk to me again."

"Tell me if he tells you more about Luna," Swordtail put in quickly.

"So no pressure." Jasmin snorted. She climbed into the nest, taking up as little space as possible. Swordtail clambered inside, his legs smacking her side.

"Watch it," She growled, shifting around to get comfortable. Jasmin curled her tail inward, making sure that the tip was securely looped away from the SilkWing. She closed her eyes, feeling uncomfortable as Swordtail's wings landed on her. Sleep immediately overcame her, and she was soon sound asleep.

A growl startled her. Jasmin was back in the rainforest, and something had pounced on her tail.

"Who's there?" She whipped around, only to find a lithe ocelot with black fur and silver patterns.

"Eclipse!" Jasmin cried. Eclipse barreled into her, pushing her head into her chest. Jasmin gently stroked the young ocelot's silky fur as Eclipse purred contently. She closed her eyes, feeling relaxed for the first time in months.

Something sticky and wet washed over her talons. Jasmin opened her eyes, and was horrified to see Eclipse's blood pooling in her talons. Her body laid in an awkward position, an infected wound festering her neck. A NightWing was standing over the ocelot, her blood smeared on his mouth.

It was Deathbringer.
