Jasmin examined the map for a moment, glancing around. It was night, and she'd travelled for the entire day, hoping to see a glimpse of Jerboa's hut.
"If I go here, I should end up on an island just near the coast," She muttered to herself. "Which is...ah. There it is."
Jasmin half-crashed into the island, exhausted. She was struggling to fly long distances she'd used to take with ease, and her arm was really starting to hurt.
Maybe I should have gone to Spider when I had the chance, Jasmin thought. She searched the island for any enemies before digging a shallow area at the foot of a tall palm tree.
Jasmin closed her eyes, and slipped into an unsettled sleep.
"Do you know what this is?" Wasp held up a pair of tweezers holding a strand of bright, smoking silk.
Jasmin remained silent.
"It's flamesilk," Wasp drew closer. "As you'd know, traveling with a certain runaway SilkWing."
She dropped the silk on Jasmin's wings. Jasmin felt a white-hot pain sizzle on her scales, and she screamed as the flaming silk burned through her wings...
She sat up with a start, heart thumping rapidly.
Just a dream.
Jasmin waited for her breathing to slow down before glancing around. The sun was already rising, and the sand turned orange from the bleeding light.
Better get moving, She thought, standing up. She examined the map for a moment. If I'm fast enough, I'll get to Pyrrhia by nightfall.
Jasmin rose to the air, wincing at a twinge in her arm. I think I'll go to the rainforest first thing to get my injuries healed.
After a while of flying and examining the map, Jasmin looked up.
"Pyrrhia should be right over there..." She stopped.
There, right in front of her, shadowed by glittering stars and darkness of midnight, was the coast of the Kingdom of Sand.
