WARNING: Lots of blood, pain, and psychopathic Wasps in this chapter. You're welcome to skip this if you feel uncomfortable with any of those things.

Jasmin woke up to a sharp flash of pain in her ribs. She snapped open her eyes, and let out a small groan. The injuries had not healed yet, though the cut on her wing and forehead had dried overnight. She winced as she shifted in a position where she could inspect her wounds more carefully.

The stab to her shoulder was still bleeding, but it was slowing down to a trickle. Wasp had pierced into her scales deeper than she'd expected. Jasmin flexed her arm and immediately stopped when it screamed at her to stop.

The wound on her side was deeper, and she wriggled for a moment, and finally managed to grab the white fabric Wasp had left behind. She hissed at the clunkiness and restriction of the chains, and after a moment of struggling, finally pressed it firmly against the bleeding gash. Jasmin clenched her teeth as the pain worsened, but kept still.

"I see you still didn't eat your breakfast." She looked up to see Wasp staring disapprovingly at her. "Be quick, or I'll start before you eat."

Jasmin let the cloth fall, and stretched out to grab hold of the piece of stale bread. Her ribs shrieked in protest.

After she finished eating, Wasp drew a weapon out of her pouch, but this time it was different. This weapon was a knife, but the iron edge had a wickedly sharp curve to it. The HiveWing then carried in a bucket of water, with something swimming inside. Jasmin flinched as she recognized the long, slippery fish inside.

Electric eels.

Wasp stepped closer to Jasmin, but she held her head high.

"They're in the Poison Jungle, am I right?" Wasp hissed, holding up the knife.

"Wrong." Jasmin met her eyes. "As always."

Wasp raised her knife and cut the hybrid on the arm. Jasmin felt the blade slice through her upper arm. The pain wasn't bad, as she'd had worse injuries in the Scorpion Den.

The other wounds, on the other talon...

"So they aren't in the Poison Jungle?" Wasp asked, and this time, she held up her bucket of dangerous eels. Jasmin shrank back.

"Yes." She looked on warily as Wasp held the bucket over her head.

"Do not lie to me," Wasp snarled. "I know when you are lying."

"I stand by my statement." Jasmin growled. The chains that held her by the wrists was digging in between her scales, and she could feel something wet trickle out of the metal shackles.

"A lying dragon must be punished," Wasp continued, a smile spreading onto her cold face. She let go of the bucket.
