Three days could not have passed any slower than it could when Wasp was constantly trying to pry out information from Jasmin, with endless, unique ways to torture her when the hybrid refused to tell her anything. Qibli hadn't visited her in the past days, and Jasmin was slowly going hysterical from the pain and claustrophobia. The chains were never off, and her wrists were rubbed raw from the digging metal.

One of her many near-death situations in the prison had been getting attacked by the biggest wolves she'd seen in her life. One of them had scratched her in the right eye, and she couldn't see through the wounded eye.

Jasmin rested against the wall, chains clanging noisily above her. The torture from today had been more severe than the ones earlier on, but she had still not given away anything useful. She closed her eyes, pain sparking in the shoulder that refused to heal. Jasmin slipped away into sleep, hoping that someone she knew could drag her away from the pain and suicidal thoughts.

Something poked her sharply in the arm. Jasmin yelped, and curled her wings around her. The hybrid's scales automatically turned fear-green, as touch always meant pain.

"Jasmin? Hey. Are you alright?" She opened her unwounded eye to find a familiar ice-blue dragonet standing anxiously in front of her.

"Winter." Jasmin breathed, relieved, and slowly sat back up. "Hi. Good to see you. I'm fine."

"As if I can't see those injuries." Winter snorted. "Come on, I know what you told Qibli, and I know a feral panther would never be able to touch a single scale on you. What's going on? You weren't with the others when Turtle and Tsunami evacuated most of the uninfected SilkWings and LeafWings to Pyrrhia."

"Wait, what? They've gone to Pyrrhia?" Jasmin blinked.

"Yes!" Winter shouted. She winced at his loud voice. "Your friends found the cure to Wasp's mind-control, so they tested it out, but everything went wrong and the cure wasn't actually a cure! Blue and Swordtail are infected, and so is about half of the LeafWing population! And you weren't there to see what was going on!"

"I know." Jasmin sighed. "I know I wasn't there, Winter. I was here in Wasp's prison the entire time."

"I know," Winter looked at her wounds and scratched eye. "i figured out you were probably being tortured or something.

"Now, tell me everything."
