Jasmin grabbed one of the patrol dragons and skillfully snapped his neck swiftly. He fell to the far-away ground. The green dragon looked around in surprise, then continued battling the other two dragons.
Jasmin saw a red-and-black dragon aiming at the leaf dragon's neck, and she leaped forward to intercept her. The hybrid swiftly clawed his eyes, which were a startling, emotionless white. She let out a screech of pain, and Jasmin grabbed her by the horns and flung her to the rocky ocean. The red dragon fell with a painful crack, and Jasmin was certain that she was dead.
A black dragon with orange splotches, the one she'd seen at first, twirled around, trying to grab the invisible dragon that had taken down his companions. Jasmin narrowly dodged a vicious swish of his tail, which she saw had a sharp tip that smelled strongly of poison.
She whirled around and thrust her tail-barb through his heart. The green dragon watched the last attacker let out a blood-curling shriek, and Jasmin yanked her tail out of his corpse. She watched the body fall to the soft grass, then shimmered back to her normal colors.
"Who are you?" The green dragon snarled.
"I just helped you kill your enemies," Jasmin pointed out. "I'm clearly on your side. First, tell me where I am."
"This is Dragonfly Bay. Who are you?" She demanded again.
"No, I mean, what is this continent or whatever called?" Jasmin rolled her eyes, impatient for an answer.
"Pantala," The other dragonet looked slightly surprised, but otherwise still indignant. "Who are you? If you don't tell me, I'll rip you apart and set an army of bullet ants on you."
"You could try," Jasmin shrugged. "I'll tell you my name if you tell me yours."
The strange dragon hesitated, then, scowling, replied.
"Sundew."
"I'm Jasmin." She said. "Can you tell me how far away I am from Pyrrhia?"
"Where?" Sundew asked.
Jasmin's heart sunk. How could she get home when the dragons who lived here didn't even know Pyrrhia's name?
