Jasmin reluctantly explained everything to Winter, how Wasp had captured her and tortured her and tried prying out the truth.
And then Winter told her about the Breath of Evil, how they'd smoked the 'cure' to the mind-control, but the Heart of Salvation was actually the roots of the plant, how almost half of the LeafWings as well as Blue and Swordtail had been infected, and how Tsunami had led the SilkWings from the Chrysalis and the remaining LeafWings to Pyrrhia.
"That sounds...like a lot." Jasmin sighed. "I wish I was there."
"Luna's gathering a group of dragons from all ten tribes to go back to Pantala and find the real cure to the mind-control," Winter explained. "Moon for the NightWings, Qibli for the SandWings, Pineapple for the RainWings, Lynx for the IceWings, Bullfrog for the MudWings, Sundew for the LeafWings, Cricket for the HiveWings, and Luna for the SilkWings. Oh, and some dragon called Sky is coming for the SkyWings, as well as a talking scavenger called Wren."
"A talking scavenger?" Jasmin mused, recalling an early memory of a trip to Positivity with Deathbringer. They'd met a scavenger who'd been searching for her dragon, and reluctantly, they'd helped her fly to Burn's stronghold. "Well, alright. When are they leaving?"
"Soon," Winter confirmed. "Actually, I think they've just left."
"Oh. They'll need to be careful." Jasmin saw the IceWing fading away. "I think I'm waking up. Probably Wasp's waking me up again. See you soon."
Jasmin opened her eye to see, to her surprise, that Wasp wasn't standing over her again. The HiveWing had her body turned to look into another cell, where Jasmin could hear voices.
She probably has a prisoner every week, She thought darkly. Glad I get a break.
Jasmin watched Wasp turning back to her.
"I've got more prisoners," The queen announced gleefully. "Don't worry, you'll still get the same amount of torture until you actually tell me something useful, dragonet."
Jasmin tiredly nodded her head, waiting as Wasp entered her cage.
"Just know," She hissed, grabbing the hybrid's arm. "Just know, that you'll stay here for the rest of your pitiful life, until I pass the death sentence."
Jasmin recoiled as Wasp twisted her arm, breaking it with a snap.
"I won't tell you anything," Jasmin growled. "And you know that. Just kill me, would you?"
"Lucky for you, it won't be long." A huge, evil grin broke through Wasp's face. "Because I'm going to execute you tomorrow."
