"Shouldn't Cricket be back now?" Blue asked anxiously.
"It's getting late," Sundew commented. "She needs to get back soon."
"Maybe the HiveWings captured her," Jasmin mused. "Or she's stuck somewhere."
"Then we need to save her!" Blue cried. "We can't let the HiveWings do anything to her!"
Jasmin grabbed his tail as the SilkWing started out of the water tank. "Wait! It won't help the situation if you get caught as well! Perhaps Cricket's alright, and she's just found something interesting. You know how she's like."
"But she's been gone for almost an entire day!" But he sat back down, and sighed. "Maybe you're right. Cricket must have found something useful."
"Like how Wasp can control the HiveWings?" Swordtail thought for a moment. "Maybe she'll give us more information."
"But we need to get going now." Sundew shuffled through her pouches, her talon pausing for a second on one near the top. "The HiveWings are bout to search the place soon when they see the letters."
"I hear wings," Jasmin whispered. "Everyone stay quiet." She made her scales a dark gray, with shadowy black that matched the walls of the water tank. She spread her wings so that they slightly covered Blue, who had the brightest scales.
Someone creaked the trapdoor that led inside open, and a HiveWing with golden-yellow scales and black scales like paint splatters emerged. Jasmin let out a sigh of relief when she saw Cricket's familiar small glasses.
"We need to go," The HiveWing dragonet whispered, holding something tightly to her chest. Jasmin noticed that it was a large, pale egg. "I found out how Queen Wasp controls the HiveWings."
"You did?" Swordtail gasped, then said hurriedly, "Luna's alive. She's landed in the Distant Kingdoms. Now we need to get going."
"Where?" Blue asked.
"Dragonfly Bay will do," Sundew spread her wings and prepared to fly as she squeezed out of the door. "We need to be quick; dragons might spot us."
Jasmin followed after the LeafWing, her heart flaring with hope.
We've found out a way to stop you, Wasp.
And we won't stop till we do.
