For the next few days, where all of them waited for Blue's Metamorphosis to end, Jasmin went out to hunt for food. She'd mostly survived on the Scorpion Den for food, with some exceptions at Jade Mountain, so she wasn't the best hunter.

But hunting prey was like hunting dragons, wasn't it? Similar, anyways, to Jasmin. Except all the fighting and growling and death threats.

"Just fruits for me, thanks," Swordtail shook his head violently when Jasmin offered half her seagull to him. "Maybe some vegetables, if you find any."

"Well, I didn't," Jasmin ripped the seagull's wings off and chewed slowly. "Why don't you just get used to meat?"

Swordtail was looking openly horrified at the thought of eating prey, so Jasmin finally pointed him to the direction where she'd seen a couple of fruit trees.

"Aren't you excited?" Cricket asked.

"Um...about what?" Jasmin blinked, confused. Did they find out a way to defeat Queen Wasp?

"Blue's coming out of his cocoon today!" She bounced up and down.

"Okay." Jasmin had no idea what Blue was like, or what he looked like, but from the HiveWing's descriptions, he was very kind and shy and perfect. Swordtail had said that he was the most innocent dragon he'd ever met.

Sundew had called him a pathetic caterpillar.

"What do we need to prepare? What if he's different?" Cricket fretted.

"He'll be fine," Swordtail assured her, tucking a pile of fruits close to him. "We just need some food when he comes out. Blue would be hungry after five days without any food."

Jasmin had no idea what was happening, but Cricket seemed very nervous.

"Doesn't he just wake up after sleeping?" She asked Swordtail. "And has awesome silk powers?"

"No," The SilkWing shook his head. "SilkWing dragonets are born without wings, and they grow their wings during their Metamorphosis."

It would be weird to grow up without wings. Jasmin couldn't imagine not being able to fly. If she was a SilkWing, she wouldn't even have wings yet.

Thy hybrid was uncomfortably aware that she was about a year younger than Cricket, Sundew, and Swordtail, and held onto the thought that she was more capable than any of them.

She hoped.

"Did you see that?" Cricket suddenly gasped. Jasmin looked over at the orange bundle of silk on the ground, and saw in writhe on the ground.
