"You can't do that!" Cricket cried. Jasmin cringed at Sundew's sudden betrayal.

I know the HiveWings are evil and everything, but is this really necessary? She wondered.

"Jasmin." She snapped out of her thought as the LeafWing called her name. "Are you coming in, or just standing there for the entire night?"

"There's another dragon here?" Morpho asked, his eyes narrowed with suspicion.

"Um, yes," Blue glanced at where the hybrid was nervously. "Her name is Jasmin, and she...you'll see."

Jasmin sighed.

"You guys are seriously making me come out like this?" She grumbled, stepping inside the small room. "Won't these SilkWings be kind of freaked out?"

"I don't see anything!" Cinnabar whispered.

"It's a ghost!" Tau cried, flinging a pillow at Jasmin's direction. She dodged smoothly, and kicked the pillow back at the SilkWing. She let out a squeal of fear and drew nearer to Morpho.

"Jasmin. Stop goofing around." Swordtail frowned.

"Fine. At least let me have some fun if you're going to drag me into this mess of a continent." Jasmin let her purple, navy, and turquoise scales shimmer into view, her tail-barb flicking threateningly. She let a slight hint of orange streak her ruff. "Happy?"

"She's not- her wings-" Morpho stammered.

"Yup," Jasmin said wryly. "I'm not from around here."

"You're from the Distant Kingdoms!" Tau realized.

"Um, yes, I think I already told you that. Sort of."

"Wow, your wings look so strange!" Cinnabar reached out a talon to touch her wing. Jasmin jerked back.

"Don't touch me," She growled. "I'm already unnerved enough in this tight place. I tend to get violent when something touches me. You don't want to know what my tail-barb does."

"It injects poison into your body and there's no cure," Cricket informed. "You die almost instantly."

"There is a cure," Jasmin cut in. "I just didn't tell you."

"Is that your only power?" Tau asked.

"Yes," Jasmin answered untruthfully. She hadn't told anyone in Pantala, not even Cricket, about her venom. It felt safer to keep a useful talent secret.

Just in case.
