Jason and Christian's siblings end up in the past.
"Is that us?" Sarah asked as they look into the room filled with red and blonde puppies.
"Awe. We are so cute." Ashley was about to run in and hug them when Jason held her back.
"Oh no you don't." She pouted and crossed her arms. "Until Leslie and the others beam us back, we'll need to make ourselves scarce."
As the others are sneaking away, Jesse stayed put. "What's up sis?" Roger asked.
Her eyes narrowed. "I only see six puppies. Where's the seventh?"
They hear the sound of footsteps approaching and hid in the shadows. The figure is a younger Troy carrying a little red fluff ball into the room.
They peek inside to see him placing the red fluff ball down. "Stay and play with your siblings. I do not know why you always have to stow away in the kitchen. One day I'm going to boil and bake your sorry little butt." A puppy whining was his reply.
Jason and the others hid again as Troy is leaving. "I always knew he was a prick." Jacob said before hearing
Ashley squeal. "Keep it down." She pointed into the room and the others look to see a shaky red puppy that is the runt of the litter.
The girls 'awed' as the guys stare incredulously. "Christian." Jason mumbled.
"Why is he shaking like that?" Jesse asked.
As an answer, a little blonde puppy jumped puppy Christian, and is beating him up before the red runt ran for his life with the blonde puppy on his tail.
"I guess that explains it." Ashley said.
Sarah frowned. "Poor little guy. Who is it that's beating him up?" they observed themselves for a while before glaring at Roger.
"What?" he said. "Don't look at me like that. How do we know it's not our silent but deadly John here?" they pointed at a stoic blonde puppy watching his siblings from the side as two red puppies pounce on the blonde puppy beating up the red runt, and making a puppy pile.
They look at Roger again. "The little runt turned out just fine, and I can't wait to gloat about it to him when we return home."
Jason frowned as he thought of his boyfriend. Christian missed out on the experiment due to work, and misses him already.
Jesse sniffed the air. "Uh oh. We better go. Mom is coming." They ran down the hall, and hid in one of the study rooms.
"We should be safe for now, but will need to find a way out before we are spotted and mistaken for intruders." They stayed in the little room trying to be as quiet as possible.
In the middle of the night, John was keeping watch and spotted a little puppy crawling down the hall. "Huh?"
"What is it John?" Sarah peeked over his shoulder to see the puppy. "Why is one of us wandering around at this time of night?" the others are peeking from behind.
"I say we follow whoever it is." Roger said before he and Ashley stealthily open the door and pass John and Sarah.
"Guys, wait." everyone followed them down the hall to see the puppy turning left.
They followed closely and find themselves in the kitchen. "Good. I'm starving." Jacob opened the fridge, and Jason narrowed his eyes.
"I think I know who our mystery puppy is." He said as he eyes one of the cabinet doors opening. The little puppy yelped when a hand grabbed it, and came face-to-face with Jason. "Christian." The puppy cried in his palm.
"Jason. Don't be such a bully." Ashley took the red runt and is scratching his chin. "Is your future boyfriend being mean to you?" she is cooing at him. "Who's the cutest puppy ever? You are." The puppy's whining ceased before yawning.
"We better get him back. It's way past his bed time." Jesse said in a motherly tone.
"Yeah, but why did he come down here? He didn't even try getting food. Those are pots and pans." Sarah asked.
John thought about it. "I remember father and Troy mentioning he would always find his way into the kitchen, and would be found resting the next day. Whether it's in a pan or on a plate."
They stared at the puppy falling asleep. "Now we know you were born a weirdo. And here I thought the humans made you that way." Roger retorted.
Before they could leave, they hear Troy's voice close by. "I heard something in the kitchen master. I shall investigate." The others are panicking before eyeing the window.
When Troy entered, he sees the kitchen window open with the wind blowing, and one of the cabinet doors open. Grinding his teeth, he opened it expecting to find a certain puppy in there, but is puzzled when no one is there. "Hm." He closed it. "False alarm master. It was probably something the wind knocked over."
Outside, the others are lying low beneath the windowsill. When the coast was clear, they breathed a sigh of relief.
"Thank goodness. That was a close one." Ashley said.
Jason looked around. "Where's Christian?" he asked before feeling something ruffling around in his sweatshirt pocket before puppy Christian stuck his little head out.
"How did he get in there?" Jacob stared at Ashley. "Wasn't he with you?"
She shrugged. "I was in a hurry and didn't notice."
Puppy Christian climbed out of Jason's hoodie, and began crawling up his arm. "What do you think you're doing?" he asked when the little puppy sat on top of his head, and is making himself comfortable before curling up, and falling asleep.
The girls awed as the guys snickered. "Now, I have got to take a picture. It would be a crime not to." Ashley said as she took her phone out.
"Ashley." Jason warned before a flash blinded him, and lights came on from one of the rooms making them scramble away.
"Nice going." Roger chastised making her smile sheepishly.
They were able to escape into the woods before Troy rushed outside, armed with a rake.
When it was deemed safe, they panted. "Okay." Sarah said. "No more pictures. Even as tempting as it can be, I don't want to die in the past." They others agreed while Ashley pouted.
That's when they began glowing. "What's going on?" Jesse asked.
Jason cursed before plucking the puppy off his head. "We're returning back."
Everyone's eyes widened. "But what about Christian? We can't leave the little guy alone. Something might eat him out here."
John's eyes got a twinkle in them. "Allow me to return him home." he said before transforming into a black bat, and scooped Christian out of Jason's hands before flapping away with a crying puppy.
"John! If you drop him, and he ends up crippled, it's all your fault!" Sarah yelled.
"Look on the bright side." Roger said. "That would explain his cluelessness." Everyone groaned. "Really? Is it pick on Roger day?"
In the sky, John the bat, is flapping as quickly as his wings would allow. He is beginning to glow brighter as he approaches the grey mansion. He swerved and dived through one of the windows downstairs.
Feeling alarmed, Troy and the younger versions of their parents rushed to investigate. John was able to sneak passed them, and fly Christian upstairs, and into the room where the puppies are located.
"My babies!" Tracy heard his cries and rushed to check on her litter of puppies. When she was at the top of the stairs, a green glow illuminated the room, and when she rushed over and opened the door, all she saw is a trembling Christian surrounded by his furry siblings that look as if they've just been awakened.
Back in the present, Jason and Christian's siblings plopped onto the white floor of a lab. "You guys made it!" Leslie shouted. "I'm so sorry that happened!"
Everyone smiled and assured her they're okay before hearing their Christian's voice calling for them, and they rushed over to greet him exuberantly making him yelp.
