Christian attempts to make pottery.
"Greta who?" Christian asked his siblings.
"Greta Gabor. She is dad's all-time favorite potter." Ashley added. "And she just opened a gallery downtown. So, the vampire half of the family and dad are going to the grand-opening tonight. You want to join us?"
Christian looked unsure. "I don't know if that's something I'm really interested in doing. And speaking of pottery, me and some of my friends are taking a pottery class around four at the community center."
Roger snorted. "You, trying to make pottery? Now that's a show."
Christian puffed his cheeks out. "I'll have you know that I'm planning on making myself a coffee mug. I broke mine and thought making one instead of buying one would be cool."
"Is Jason tagging along?" Jessie asked him.
Christian sagged. "He's meeting his father while he's in town, so."
The room grew silent since everyone knew the story about Jason's dad's infidelity. And how he ran off with another woman to start a new family when Jason was at the tender age of six.
"I give your fiancé credit, bro." Jacob spoke. "If that was me, I would rip the son of a bitch's throat out."
"He wanted to talk to both Jason and Emma regarding an old will he made years ago, since he created a new one with his new family." Christian explained. "Otherwise, neither of them would've agreed to meet him."
"Poor Jason and Emma." Sarah muttered.
Roger growled. "The jack ass is probably going to leave them squat; while that home wrecker and her family get everything."
Jessie put her hand on her baby brother's shoulder. "We know bro, but there's nothing we can do about it. It's between Jason, Emma, and their father." Roger looked ready to murder anyone that's in his line of sight.
Christian bristled when he noticed he was in the line of fire and scooted away. "Anyways, maybe I'll make Jason a mug too." His eyes lit up. "Then we can have matching mugs."
His siblings smiled at him. "I think he'd like that very much." Sarah spoke for everyone. "The gallery opens at six if you change your mind about going."
Four o'clock came, and Christian is seated in a small room with clay, a kiln, the turning tables to mold the clay, and paint. "This is going to be fun." One of his female friends exclaimed.
"I still say we should've gone on that ghost tour." One of his male friends told the girl.
She gave him a look. "And have you pulling pranks on us through the entire tour? I don't think so."
The boy muttered incoherently as the teacher entered the room. "Welcome." She greeted everyone with her hippie clothing dangling loosely on her body. "My name is Gigi, and I am here to show you the basics of pottery making. I hope this experience opens up your creativity as well as your imagination. Now, let's grab some water and clay, and get started."
A few minutes later, Christian is fighting to shape the clay as the wheel twirls it. His hands are shaking as he attempts to shape a coffee mug. Gigi loomed over him. "How's it going, young man?"
"Not too bad." Christian replied. "Just wish I could get it the right shape."
"Not as easy as it seems huh?"
"I should've known better." Christian told her. "When I was a kid, I couldn't even mold playdoh."
She chuckled fondly. "What are you trying to mold?"
