Night before the Wedding

The night before D-day.

Christian was sleeping over at the family mansion while Jason stayed at his mother's house.

Ashley squealed in excitement. "Tomorrow's the day. Kiss your bachelor days goodbye, little bro."

Sarah gently slapped Ashley's arm. "Are you trying to give our brother cold feet?"

"You better not." Roger threatened. "Luna will tear me a new one. Not to mention Jason."

Ashley pouted. "I'm just saying that he's no longer going to be on the market. Is that so wrong?"

Roger opened his mouth when Jessie got in-between them. "Come on everyone. We are here to support and celebrate our brother's union with Jason. Let's save the arguing for another time."

Jacob scoffed. "With our luck it'll be during the wedding toast." Sarah slapped his arm more harshly than Ashley's.

"Sorry for our tardiness." John arrived with Sebastian and two overnight bags in their arms.

Ashley smiled at them. "You guys made it just in time for the first round of 'Who knows the grooms best. We invented it. We even gave Jason a version to play with his family."

"How'd you convince me to do this again?" Sebastian asked his husband. John whispered in his ear and Sebastian perked ever so slightly. "I'll put the bags in our room while you get our spot in the game." He rushed upstairs with the bags in tow.

Sometime later everyone was in the den paired in two's except for Ashley playing the host. "Okay." Ashley held out an index card. "What is Christian's favorite kind of chocolate?"

"Isn't it all chocolate?" Roger asked and everyone stared at him.

"We have twenty seconds to write our answers down on your team's white boards." She stared at Sarah. "And sorry sis, but you can't ask our little brother for the answer."

"You told me that the last couple of questions that  involve his favorite things." Sarah told her.

"Time's up. Let's see who guessed right." Ashley pointed at Calvin and Tracy where they showed their answer. "Strawberry filled chocolate." John and Sebastian showed their sign. "Dark chocolate." Jessie and Bryan were next. "Peanut butter chocolate." Roger and Jacob were bickering before showing their sign. " Milk Chocolate." Lastly, Sarah presented her answer. "Chocolate truffles. Eh, you all guessed wrong." She smiled at Christian.  "What's your favorite chocolate, little brother?"

"Sea salt caramel chocolate." Christian answered bashfully. His family groaned.

"Really?" Roger asked Christian.

"Yes really. Now, stop asking me that every time the question's about me."

"Next round." Ashley interrupted them. "What is Jason's favorite pass time activity?" Everyone including Christian erased and wrote their answer. "Time's up. Let's see your answers." The same groups took the same turns. "Reading. Electronics. Reading." Ashley snickered before saying, "Christian." Everyone but Christian laughed at that answer. "And lastly, trivia. The correct answer is, trivia. One point for Sarah and Christian."

Christian and Sarah high five each other as the others grunt. "Luck. That's all it is."  Roger accused them.

"Stop being a sore loser." Sarah told him.

"Perhaps a break is in order." Calvin suggested to everyone.

"But we haven't gotten to the bonus round yet." Ashley whined to everyone.

"C'mon Ashley." Jacob told his elder sister. "I don't know about the rest of you, but I gotta take a whiz."

"Besides." Roger added. "I think we've learned more than enough about the little twerp and his fiance for a lifetime."
