"Not to sound rude sir, but this is the Fatui we're dealing with. Do you really think that the new rec—Kazuha, can handle this?" Kaeya felt some sweat drip off of his chin.

"I think Kazuha is physically, and mentally prepared for something like this." Ayato was basically stabbing Kaeya with his glare.

"Don't you think it'd be better—" "Better if you took the case? We don't want a repeat of what happened last time." Ayato turned away from Kaeya, insinuating that this conversation was done.

Kaeya grit his teeth together and left.

Kaeya grabbed his coat and walked out of the department, angrily.

Don't want a repeat of what happened last time? Fuck you...
Kaeya clenched his fists together.

Why do I even want this case?
Kaeya started to doubt himself, but she shook his head and went right back to his anger.

It doesn't fucking matter. I know more about the Fatui then anyone, it'd make sense for me to have the case.
Kaeya was getting closer and closer to his motel.

Albedo grabbed a small piece of paper and pen and wrote a note for Kaeya.

Try to clean your motel room more often. It's not healthy to be living in filth.
-A

It was a simple note, it was all Albedo was able to write in that moment.

Albedo left the note on the kitchen counter for Kaeya to find it easily.

"Goodbye Leo." Albedo spoke softly, as if he didn't want to wake the sleeping cat.

When Albedo exited the motel, he could feel all his responsibilities crawl back onto his shoulders.

Albedo frowned slightly.

He then walked off.

Kaeya could see his motel room from here. Now thinking about it, he needed to clean it soon.

Is that...?
Albedo saw a familiar blue haired man in the near distance.

Kaeya..
Albedo felt his heart pounding in his chest.

Kaeya was getting closer and still hasn't noticed Albedo.

Albedo quickly put his hood on, in hopes it would cover his face good enough.

Walking right past each other felt so strange. Like they were just strangers again. It didn't feel real, it didn't feel right.

Kaeya got a sudden shiver done his back, but he assumed it was just the wind.

Kaeya struggled to get his key, but he then saw the door was slightly opened.

Kaeya put a hand on his gun as he walked into slowly.

When he looked around, his body relaxed.

"What the..." it was clean. And he knew he didn't do this because he remembers putting a dish in the same pile next to his sink this morning...and he definitely never left a note on the counter.
