Hours went by before it was time to meet Kaeya at Angel's Share. He ordered Zhongli to get there before him so he wouldn't be seen by Kaeya.

Albedo showed up a little late, but not late enough for Kaeya to have already had his first drink.

"Albedo..." His voice was a gasp and his eyes lit up just at the sight of Albedo. Albedo nodded at him, trying not to look directly at him.

He pulled his chair out and sat down next to Kaeya. He looked at all the possible ways the police force could come barging in.

"It's a little crowded tonight, sorry about that." Kaeya sensed something was wrong with Albedo, but he knew not to ask about it. "Would you like a drink?" Kaeya asked.

Albedo blinked towards him and then down to the bar table. "No thank you."

"Ah, alright." Kaeya rubbed the back of his neck and bit the inside of his lip. "I'll have one though Diluc." He didn't even need to tell Diluc which he would like, he already knew.

Albedo looked up at saw Diluc glaring down at him.
I hope he doesn't mention anything about Nikolai...if Kaeya knew what happened he'd freak out.

"What you said earlier had been bugging me a lot today," Kaeya said as Diluc out the glass filled with wine in front of him. Kaeya grabbed the glass and stared into the red liquid. Albedo winced and kept his face hidden from Kaeya's view.

"I don't know why you would think I'd be using you for a case. I'd never do something like that, especially to you." Kaeya said. "Stop lying to me." Albedo snapped, slightly turning his head to Kaeya. Kaeya gripped onto his glass a little harder and frowned.

"I'm not."
"Yes, you are. I heard what you said at the hospital."
Kaeya snapped his head up, taken aback by what Albedo had just said. "What?"

"I can't believe I was so naive. I don't know what's gotten into me these days." Albedo shook his head like he was disappointed. "No, no, you've got it all wrong!" Kaeya was getting worried now. "I was lying to him about everything," Kaeya said. "How can I know if I can trust you? You probably have the cops waiting outside for me right now." He knew he didn't, he didn't know why he said that.

"You know me Albedo, you know I'd never do something like that." Kaeya reached out his hand to Albedo but he stopped it by grabbing his wrist.

"Let me ask you something Kaeya," Albedo closed his eyes as he continued, "Why did you say you didn't want to betray your city by joining the Fatui, but then do this? That makes no sense. Both ways you are betraying your city. Do you know how many people have died since I became the leader? Do you know how many lives you could have saved if you had just turned me in?"

Kaeya just stared at him. Albedo watched as Kaeya's eyes shifted to a glossy texture. Kaeya slowly looked down. He was right. He joined the police force to protect people, but he ended up killing thousands in a way.

"Let me ask you this, Mr. Alberich, who would you choose? Me or this city? Me or millions of people?" Albedo felt dark. Kaeya didn't like it. This was not Albedo. Not the Albedo he loved, not the Albedo he met in the mall so long ago. Kaeya looked up at Albedo, his lip was quivering the slightest.

"I'm not betraying my city."

"You already are. I'll give you five seconds to call the police to come to arrest me." Albedo let go of Kaeya's wrist and took out Kaeya's phone for him, placing it on the bar counter. Kaeya turned his head to his phone, he glared at it with a burning feeling in his chest, a feeling that felt like it could kill him.

"Five," Albedo crossed his legs. Kaeya gulped, he could take his eyes off that phone...it felt like it was screaming at him.

"Four," Albedo kept his hands out in the open to show Kaeya that he would not grab any weapon he had on him. Even if he wanted to, Kaeya couldn't even pick up that phone. His body felt like an anchor for the chair.

"Three," Albedo sighed from boredom.

"Two,"

"One."
